Understanding politics as a contingent and controversial activity, politicisation refers to those activities that create or make visible the political quality in the phenomena in question. Parliamentarisation is a distinct strategy of politicisation. In this chapter, parliament refers to a certain procedural and institutional ideal type of acting politically. The parliamentary way of politicising acting and thinking forms a Gedankenbild, a mental image. It is an ideal type that one-sidedly accentuates and intensifies the political way of thinking. Występowanie Ricciocarpos natans (Marchantiophyta) na Śląsku

The occurrence of Ricciocarpos natans (L.) Corda in Silesia (SW Poland) is discussed in its geographical and phytosociological aspects. The paper lists localities of this species and indicates its occurrence in plant communities, with special attention to Ricciocarpetum natantis an association rare and threatened in Poland. Ricciocarpos natans is a fairly common species in Silesia, known from 70 stations. Patches of Ricciocarpetum natantis are documented from 11 localities.

Jokapäiväisessä työssä käytämme omaan työhömme liittyviä käsitteitä usein epätäsmällisesti. Akateemisessa kontekstissa tilannetta mutkistaa se, että tieteellinen työskentely perustuu käsitteille ja niiden välisille suhteille. Tässä artikkelissa keskustelen muutamista tiedonhankinnan opetukseen liittyvistä keskeisistä käsitteistä, kuten otsikossa mainittu tiedonhankinta, sekä niiden tulkinnoista. Lisäksi pohdin tulkintoihin liittyviä etuja ja haittoja opiskelijoiden kanssa yhteistyössä tehdyn opetuksen kehittämistyön näkökulmasta.

Aim: Biological diversity typically varies between climatically different regions, and regions closer to the equator often support higher numbers of taxa than those closer to the poles. However, these trends have been assessed for a few organism groups, and the existing studies have rarely been based on extensive identical surveys in different climatic regions. The Czerwona Woda River is the main watercourse in the Stołowe Mountains National Park and drains the major part of the Stołowe Mts. It was regulated in the past, but its channel has been spontaneously naturalized. Now, managed spruce forests grow along almost the entire length of this small mountain stream. The aims of the present study were to investigate diversity of plant communities connected with the Czerwona Woda stream and to prepare detailed vegetation maps. Our cities should be designed to accommodate everybody, including children. We will not move toward a more sustainable society unless we accept that children are people with transportation needs, and ‘bussing’ them around, or providing parental limousine services at all times, will not lead to sustainability.
