Le processus de diffusion du football en Franche-Comté

This paper seeks to demonstrate, from a geographical viewpoint, how football, a sport that was fairly undeveloped at the beginning of the 20th century, has become a major element in daily life. Taking the region of Franche-Comté (population: 1.1 million) as an example, the spatialisation of the diffusion cycle of the sport is shown (introduction into the territory, growth, then saturation). The territorial dimension of football is thus analysed.

Structural studies of acyl esters of entacapone

Abstract The crystal structures of entacapone [(E)-2-cyano-N,N-diethyl-3-(3,4-dihydroxy-5-nitrophenyl)propenamide] and three of its acyl esters were solved. Entacapone, and its monopivaloate and diacetate derivatives, exist in the E-form while its dibenzoate derivative adopts the Z-form in the crystalline state. The ethyl substituents of the E-form are not freely rotating, as demonstrated by the broad signals in the 1H and 13C NMR spectra. The rotation barrier for the E-form was defined by the crystal structures, which show that free rotation of the ethyl substituents is blocked by the cyano-group.

Resum: En aquest article es presenta l’estudi de la figura del comte Arnau, heroi llegendari sorgit a les terres de la Catalunya Vella el drama del qual ha travessat els segles i ha estat difos per mitja d’una balada i uns textos llegendaris de caracter oral. El senyor poderos i malvat, sacrileg sense escrupols i amic del diable, apareix a la seva esposa despres de mort, sorgit de l’infern, com una anima en pena que recorre la terra muntat en un cavall de flames. La balada, en forma de dialeg entre la dama i l’espectre del comte, ens reconta la causa de la seva condemna: «per soldades mal pagades», perque no paga els jornals que havia promes als seus treballadors.
