In the Minor Declamation 258 it is possible to notice some echoes of the Armorum iudicium of Ov. met. xiii 1-383, an episode whose success in Greece and Rome dates back to the Cyclic poems. Porcius Latro, the famous rhetorician and teacher of Ovid, chose this subject for one of his declamations and provided his pupil with a model: in fact, as showed by Sen. contr. ii 2, 8, the poet borrowed from the rhetor some literal expressions. We can also remember Sen. contr. x and Calp. decl. 21, two of the most important texts where the motifs of family disputes and reward for viri fortes are re-elaborated, in different ages. La Confederación fallida. Administración y usuarios en la cuenca del Turia (1928-1936)

[EN] Between 1928 and 1936 the projects of river regulation in the Turia basin caused important conflicts. A private company, REVA, obtained a legal concession to build several reservoirs and hydropower stations. The traditional users rejected this initiative and promoted the creation of a basin authority, the Confederación Hidrográfica del Turia, in order to stop the private action, and to control the management of the river regulation. This article describes the different stages of this conflict, analyzing the position of all the involved agents, in order to improve our knowledge on a key period for the implementation of the Spanish basin authorities.

Introduction of Autonomous Vehicles in road traffic will remove the impact of the human factor from the driver’s decision-making process, and will transform the criteria for road network design, road infrastructure administration, traffic modeling and assessment tools for road safety management. Abstract. ‘Law as power’ is a neglected topic in contemporary analytical jurisprudence. Attention has been paid, from Hart (and Kelsen) onwards, to normative powers. ‘Brute’ social power, however, and law’s relation to it, are, in post-Hartian jurisprudence, largely overlooked. The subject of this paper is the shape social power takes when the rule of the law is envisaged as an ethico-political ideal—I discuss, that is, the Rule of Law as a specific mode of the exercise of social power, and what is valuable in it. El objeto de este breve texto es poner de relieve alguna duda acerca de un específico, aunque no marginal, aspecto de la compleja teoría de los derechos fundamentales construida por Ferrajoli: el problema del conflicto entre derechos fundamentales. En primer lugar, ofreceré un sumario bastante genérico sobre la presencia (por lo menos aparente, o potencial) de conflictos entre derechos fundamentales en el panorama constitucional contemporáneo.
