Abstract This study analyzed how parenting and factors considered as important determinants of parental care are assessed in the child welfare practice during the placement process, using ethnographic content analysis of case records. The assessment of parenting and the factors affecting it was unsystematic and unplanned with no consistency between cases. The documentary mentions concerning the quality of parent-child relationships were surprisingly rare. The descriptions concentrated more on parents' problems than problems in parenting and the qualities of the parent-child relationship. The Reprocessed Proba-V Collection 2: Product Validation

With the objective to improve data quality in terms of cloud detection, absolute radiometric calibration and atmospheric correction, the PRoject for On-Board Autonomy-Vegetation (PROBA-V) data archive (October 2013 - June 2020) will be reprocessed to Collection 2 (C2). The product validation is organized in three phases and focuses on the intercomparison with PROBA-V Collection 1 (C1), but also consistency analysis with SPOT-VGT, Sentinel-3 SYN-VGT, Terra-MODIS and METOP-AVHRR is foreseen. This work describes the different algorithmic steps used to retrieve the first Surface Albedo (SA) product based on Sentinel-3 (S-3) data in the framework of the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). The atmospherically corrected Top-Of-Atmosphere (TOA) reflectances into Top-Of-Canopy (TOC) reflectances are brokered from the Copernicus Global Land Service (CGLS). The TOC reflectances are used to obtain a BRDF model. Next, the spectral and angular integration steps are implemented, which take the latter coefficients as input to produce spectral and broadband albedo quantities. This chapter is about how we attain knowledge, and how we fail to do so. I argue that a true thought counts as a piece of knowledge if and only if it has the right sort of causal history. I also argue that these so-called cognitive thoughts are the criteria of truth in the sense that they are guaranteed to be true and able to guarantee the truth of that which can be inferred from them. So I argue that there are three kinds of knowledge, namely the information conveyed by our senses, the information contained in our preconceptions and the conclusions that can be inferred from our sense-perceptions and our preconceptions. Isobaric Vapor−Liquid Equilibrium of Binary Mixtures of 1-Butanol + Chlorobenzene and 2-Butanol + Chlorobenzene at 20 and 100 kPa

Isobaric vapor−liquid equilibria were obtained for 1-butanol + chlorobenzene and for 2-butanol + chlorobenzene systems at 20 and 100 kPa using a dynamic still. The experimental error in temperature was ±0.1 K, in pressure ±0.01 kPa and ±0.1 kPa for the experiments carried out at 20 and 100 kPa, respectively, and in liquid and vapor composition ±0.001. The two systems satisfy the point-to-point thermodynamic consistency test. Both systems show a positive deviation from ideality. The data were correlated with the Wilson equation.
Decentralized Coordination System for Multiple AGVs in a Structured Environment

Abstract In this paper, we propose a decentralized coordination algorithm for safe and efficient management of a group of mobile robots following predefined paths in a dynamic industrial environment. The proposed algorithm is based on shared resources and proved to guarantee ordered traffic flows avoiding collisions and deadlocks. In consistency with the model of distributed robotic systems (DRS), no centralized mechanism, synchronized clock, shared memory or ground support is needed. A local inter-robot communication is required among a small number of spatially adjacent robotic units.

Successful resilience is a variable often related to an optimal ag-ing process. However, literature is rather limited when dealing with assess-ment instruments for the elderly in the Spanish language. The objective of this work is to validate the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (Sinclair & Wallston, 2004), a four item likert scale, in the Spanish elderly. For this propose, the scale was administrated to a sample of 991 elderly Spanish participants, and the data set analysed in terms of exploratory and confirm-atory factor analysis, internal consistency and criterion validity. The internally contracted multireference coupled cluster (icMRCC) method allows a highly accurate description of both static and dynamic correlation with a computational scaling similar to single reference coupled cluster theory. The authors show that the method can lose its orbital invariance and size consistency when no special care is taken in the elimination of redundant excitations. Using the BeH(2) model system, four schemes are compared which differ in their treatment of linear dependencies between excitations of different rank (such as between singles and doubles). The purpose of this study was twofold: (a) to contrast the prominent theoretical explanations of the rapid automatized naming (RAN)-reading relationship across languages varying in orthographic consistency (Chinese, English, and Finnish) and (b) to examine whether the same accounts can explain the RAN-spelling relationship. The aim of this work is to examine the pentafactorial validity of the AF5 Self-Concept Questionnaire in Spanish and Chilean young adults. From the responses of a total of 4,383 young adults aged 17 to 22 years (1,918 Spanish, 44%, and 2,465 Chilean, 56%) it was analyzed the reliability of the instrument, the compared validity of the 5 oblique factor model proposed by the authors versus the unifactorial and the orthogonal alternative models, and was studied the invariance of one Chilean sample.
