The morphological-functional study of microcirculation is of fundamental importance; in fact, the microvascular bed is directly involved both in autoimmune etiopathogenesis pathologies, and in acute and chronic inflammatory etiopathogenesis pathologies. Oral capillaroscopy is a very stimulating method for studying microcirculation, because of the possibility of studying small vessels in vivo by means of a microscope. Today, it is becoming more reliable thanks to the improvement of the observation tools (photography, videomicroscopy).

Explicit proton transfer in classical molecular dynamics simulations.

We present Hydrogen Dynamics (HYDYN), a method that allows explicit proton transfer in classical force field molecular dynamics simulations at thermodynamic equilibrium. HYDYN reproduces the characteristic properties of the excess proton in water, from the special pair dance, to the continuous fluctuation between the limiting Eigen and Zundel complexes, and the water reorientation beyond the first solvation layer. One-dimensional pion, kaon, and proton femtoscopy in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV

The size of the particle emission region in high-energy collisions can be deduced using the femtoscopic correlations of particle pairs at low relative momentum. Such correlations arise due to quantum statistics and Coulomb and strong final state interactions. In this paper, results are presented from femtoscopic analyses of π±π±, K±K±, K0 SK0 S, pp, and pp correlations from Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV by the ALICE experiment at the LHC. One-dimensional radii of the system are extracted from correlation functions in terms of the invariant momentum difference of the pair. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tutkia lukivaikeuden yhteyttä psyykkiseen hyvinvointiin. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin, liittyykö lapsuuden lukivaikeuden vaikeusaste lapsuuden tai aikuisuuden psyykkiseen hyvinvointiin. Lisäksi selvitettiin, eroavatko lapsena lukivaikeusdiagnoosin saaneet aikuisina kontrolliryhmästä psyykkisen hyvinvoinnin suhteen. Tutkimuksessa arvioitiin myös psyykkisen hyvinvoinnin pysyvyyttä lapsuudesta aikuisuuteen ja aikuisuuden lukutaidon yhteyttä aikuisuuden psyykkiseen hyvinvointiin. Carbon dots are an emerging family of zero-dimensional nanocarbons behaving as tunable light harvesters and photoactivated charge donors. Coupling them to carbon nanotubes, which are well-known electron acceptors with excellent charge transport capabilities, is very promising for several applications. Here, we first devised a route to achieve the stable electrostatic binding of carbon dots to multi- or single-walled carbon nanotubes, as confirmed by several experimental observations.
