Getting married or entering into a partnership : the patrimonial issues of choice in french law

In French law, there are only two models of couples between which a choice is really possible to organize their patrimonial relationships: partnership or marriage. But, if the couple intends to organize a transfer of assets between companions both during the union and in case of death, it is definitely marriage that offers more possibilities than partnership. Often, young French couples, who do not wish to marry, either not at the begining of their relationship or not at all, have the idea that, if marriage organizes a legal protection of the couple, the partners have the possibility to provide conventionally equivalent protection. In fact, this idea is wrong.

The author analyses the rules of jurisdiction by connection set by Articles 4 and 5 of Regulations No. 1103 and 1104 of 2016 in matters of property regimes of transnational couples, taking into account the objective of proper administration of justice pursued within EU Civil judicial cooperation. The investment model (2003) has been widely used in romantic relationship studies but rarely in an intercultural context. This study tests the investment model by examining Finnish-Chinese couples’ self-perceptions of commitment level and relationship maintenance behaviors. As part of a larger research project on couple therapy for depression, this qualitative case study examines the nature of dialogue. Drawing on Bakhtinian concepts, the investigation shows how the conversation shifts from a monologue to dialogue. Among the findings are: first, the process of listening is integral to the transforming experience. That is, the careful listening of the therapist can evoke new voices, just as the experience of one of the partners' "listening in" to the conversation between the other partner and the therapist can create movement and new trajectories. From the perspective of reciprocal altruism, we examined the role of reciprocity in the close relationships of people inflicted with a spinal cord injury (SCI) ( n = 70). We focused on the help receiver rather than on the help giver. Participants perceived more reciprocity in relationships with friends than in relationships with the partner and with family members. In these last relationships, perceptions of indebtedness were more prevalent than perceptions of deprivation. Sympathetic Nervous System Synchrony in Couple Therapy

The aim of this study was to test whether there is statistically significant sympathetic nervous system (SNS) synchrony between participants in couple therapy. To our knowledge, this is the first study to measure psychophysiological synchrony during therapy in a multiactor setting. The study focuses on electrodermal activity (EDA) in the second couple therapy session from 10 different cases (20 clients, 10 therapists working in pairs). The EDA concordance index was used as a measure of SNS synchrony between dyads, and synchrony was found in 85% of all the dyads.
