SUMMARYOptimal antiretroviral strategies for HIV-infected patients still need to be established. To this end a decision tree including different antiretroviral strategies that could be adopted for HIV-infected patients was built. A 10-year follow-up was simulated by using transitional probabilities estimated from a large cohort using a time-homogeneous Markov model. The desired outcome was for patients to maintain a CD4 cell count of >500 cells/mm3without experiencing AIDS or death. Sequelae of acquired brain injury endanger the realisation of important life-goals. Discrepancies arise between the importance attached to a goal and the success in realising it. This study investigates goal discrepancies and their influence on patients' subjective well-being (SWB) in different rehabilitation stages. Life-goals, SWB and daily functioning were assessed in 130 neurological inpatients and 42 outpatients by self-report questionnaires. Both patient groups reported greater discrepancies between importance and success of life-goals than a normative sample of healthy controls. Sequelae of acquired brain injury (ABI) require adjustment processes in which survivors must strive to regain subjective well-being (SWB) in the face of chronic impairment. The current study investigates whether the self-concept of achievement mediates this process. Thirty-five post-acute patients with ABI were assessed neuropsychologically for performance in memory, attention, concept formation and reasoning. The objective of this study was to investigate an instrumental assessment technique for acquiring reproducible, metric data on the nasal airway in cleft-palate associated nasal dysplasia. A consecutive sample of 23 unilateral, 17 bilateral CLP patients and 15 controls with subjective normal nasal patency from a cleft-palate rehabilitation centre were studied. The oral health education (OHE) given in Finnish health centers is mostly implemented by dental assistants and hygienists. However, there is no exact information concerning the distribution of OHE work and the working methods among individual health educators. Herein, we report the impact of further improvements in HIV management since then, looking at all hospitalizations in persons living with HIV (PLWH) in Spain. Abstract Acquired thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (aTTP) is a rare but life-threatening condition. In 2018, the nanobody caplacizumab was approved for the treatment of adults experiencing an acute episode of aTTP, in conjunction with plasma exchange (PEX) and immunosuppression for a minimum of 30 days after stopping daily PEX. We performed a retrospective, observational analysis on the use of caplacizumab in 60 patients from 29 medical centers in Germany during acute disease management.
