Tensions between the people and parliament over representation are a normal feature of representative democracies. In this paper, we demonstrate how digital humanities analysis tools help in answering questions about the timing of debates on popular representation, tensions over its realization, and representatives’ changing perceptions on their parliamentary role. Far from being, as has been said, “the bizarrest beginning of all the Hippocratic writings (...) deserving of therapy”, this paper aims to show that the opening words of the Hippocratic writing “On Generation” (νόμοϲ μὲν πάντα κρατύνει), in itself echoing a famous Pindaric motto, seem to be used first of all in order to evoke a cultural, intellectual and scientific world, in which the nòmos has become one of the most important keywords of the time. Demokracja medialna w III RP jest nowoczesną formą demokracji, w której mass media wpływają w znaczącym stopniu na decyzje podejmowane przez obywateli. Ponadto obywatele realizują swoje prawa (jak np. wolność słowa, czy wolny dostęp do informacji) i mają możliwość angażowania się w życie polityczne kraju. W artykule przedstawiono pokrótce podejście Polaków do demokracji. Następnie opisano pojęcie demokracji medialnej i mediatyzację polityki. Końcowa część artykułu została poświęcona przybliżeniu wpływu sondaży oraz opinii publicznej na decyzje wyborcze obywateli.

It also hints her judgement on the role and legacy ofthe author of A Story of Anti-Christ within the history of philosophy.
