Holomorphic mappings of bounded type
1992
Abstract For a Banach space E, we prove that the Frechet space H b(E) is the strong dual of an (LB)-space, B b(E), which leads to a linearization of the holomorphic mappings of bounded type. It is also shown that the holomorphic functions defined on (DFC)-spaces are of uniformly bounded type.
Bismut's Way of the Malliavin Calculus for Elliptic Pseudodifferential Operators on a Lie Group
2018
We give an adaptation of the Malliavin Calculus of Bismut type for a semi-group generated by a right-invariant elliptic pseudodifferential operator on a Lie group.
Cohomology, central extensions, and (dynamical) groups
1985
We analyze in this paper the process of group contraction which allows the transition from the Einstenian quantum dynamics to the Galilean one in terms of the cohomology of the Poincare and Galilei groups. It is shown that the cohomological constructions on both groups do not commute with the contraction process. As a result, the extension coboundaries of the Poincare group which lead to extension cocycles of the Galilei group in the “nonrelativistic” limit are characterized geometrically. Finally, the above results are applied to a quantization procedure based on a group manifold.
THE BISHOP-PHELPS-BOLLOBAS THEOREM FOR BILINEAR FORMS
2013
In this paper we provide versions of the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás Theorem for bilinear forms. Indeed we prove the first positive result of this kind by assuming uniform convexity on the Banach spaces. A characterization of the Banach space Y Y satisfying a version of the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás Theorem for bilinear forms on ℓ 1 × Y \ell _1 \times Y is also obtained. As a consequence of this characterization, we obtain positive results for finite-dimensional normed spaces, uniformly smooth spaces, the space C ( K ) \mathcal {C}(K) of continuous functions on a compact Hausdorff topological space K K and the space K ( H ) K(H) of compact operators on a Hilbert space H H . On the other hand, the B…
The General Stokes’s Theorem
2012
Let ω be a differential form of degree k - 1 and class C 1 in a neighborhood of a compact regular k-surface with boundary M of class C 2. The general Stokes’s theorem gives a relationship between the integral of ω over the boundary of M and the integral of the exterior differential dω over M. It can be viewed as a generalization of Green’s theorem to higher dimensions, and it plays a role not unlike that of the fundamental theorem of calculus in an elementary course of analysis. Particular cases of the general Stokes’s theorem that are of great importance are the divergence theorem, which relates a triple integral with a surface integral and what we know as the classical Stokes’s theorem, w…
Sulla K-variazione Essenziale di Una Funzione reale
2005
In this paper we consider a definition of essentialK-variation for real functions which gives information on the absolute integrability of its approximate derivate on a measurable set.

This paper is a closure of the discussions to the paper "Deducing a drain spacing formula by applying dimensional analysis and self-similarity theory"
Isometric dilations and 𝐻^{∞} calculus for bounded analytic semigroups and Ritt operators
2017
We show that any bounded analytic semigroup on L p L^p (with 1 > p > ∞ 1>p>\infty ) whose negative generator admits a bounded H ∞ ( Σ θ ) H^{\infty }(\Sigma _\theta ) functional calculus for some θ ∈ ( 0 , π 2 ) \theta \in (0,\frac {\pi }{2}) can be dilated into a bounded analytic semigroup ( R t ) t ⩾ 0 (R_t)_{t\geqslant 0} on a bigger L p L^p -space in such a way that R t R_t is a positive contraction for any t ⩾ 0 t\geqslant 0 . We also establish a discrete analogue for Ritt operators and consider the case when L p L^p -spaces are replaced by more general Banach spaces. In connection with these functional calculus issues, we study isometric dilations of bounded continuous rep…
Some algebraic clues towards a syntactic view on the Principles of Non-Contradiction and Excluded-Middle.
2014
This short paper just considers the possibility of a new view for posing and proving the Aristotle’s Principles of Non-Contradiction and Excluded-Middle. It is done by means of their refutability, or deducibility, respectively, under Tarski’s Consequence Operators.
THE STATE OF FRACTIONAL HEREDITARY MATERIALS (FHM)
2014
The widespread interest on the hereditary behavior of biological and bioinspired materials motivates deeper studies on their macroscopic ``minimal" state. The resulting integral equations for the detected relaxation and creep power-laws, of exponent $\beta$, are characterized by fractional operators. Here strains in $SBV_{loc}$ are considered to account for time-like jumps. Consistently, starting from stresses in $L_{loc}^{r}$, $r\in [1,\beta^{-1}], \, \, \beta\in(0,1)$ we reconstruct the corresponding strain by extending a result in [42]. The ``minimal" state is explored by showing that different histories delivering the same response are such that the fractional derivative of their differ…
