Exploring basic hope as a mediator between attitudes towards religion and psychological well-being among Anglicans

Celem niniejszego badania jest sprawdzenie mediacyjnej roli nadziei podstawowej w związku postaw wobec religii z dobrostanem psychicznym w próbie anglikanów. Ponieważ wcześniejsze badania wskazywały na bliskie związki między religijnością, nadzieją i dobrostanem, powyższe założenie jest wysoce prawdopodobne. W badaniu wzięło udział 176 osób (89 kobiet i 87 mężczyzn). Wszyscy byli członkami Kościoła anglikańskiego i wypełnili trzy kwestionariusze: Skalę Przekonań Postkrytycznych (PCBS), Skalę Dobrostanu Psychicznego (PWB) oraz Inwentarz Podstawowej Nadziei (BHI-12). Abstract The currently available data set of S–Cl–F abundances in volcanic gas plumes and high-temperature fumarolic gas samples from basaltic volcanism is reviewed here in the attempt to derive constraints on the modes of halogen degassing from mafic silicate melts. Apart from large volcano-to-volcano variations, reflecting remarkable differences in volatile abundances in the source magmas, each of the explored volcanoes displays large changes of SO2/HCl and SO2/HF ratios with the style of volcanic activity, with HCl/HF staying fairly constant. Abstract Some 300–600 Tg of volatiles are globally vented each year by arc volcanism. Such arc gas emissions have contributed to past and present-day evolution of the Earth atmosphere and climate by recycling mineral-bound volatiles subducted along active slabs. Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and total sulphur (S T ) are, after water, the major components of volcanic arc gases. Constraints on mantle source and interactions from He-Sr isotope variation in Italian Plio-Quaternary volcanism.

[1] Helium isotope ratios of olivine and pyroxene phenocrysts from Plio-Quaternary volcanic rocks from southern Italy (seven Aeolian Islands, Mt. Vulture, Etna, Ustica, and Pantelleria) range from 2.3 to 7.1 Ra. Importantly, the phenocryst 3He/4He correlate well with whole rock Sr isotopic composition (0.70309– 0.70711), reflecting the mixing of two sources. A significant contribution of He from crustal contamination is recorded only occasionally (e.g., pyroxenes from Vulcano). When merged with data from the Roman Comagmatic Province, a remarkably strong near-linear He-Sr isotope correlation is apparent. Studying spatial and temporal trends in volcanic gas compositions and fluxes is crucial both to volcano monitoring and to constrain the origin and recycling efficiency of volatiles at active convergent margins. New volcanic gas compositions and volatile fluxes are here reported for Nevado del Ruiz, Galeras, and Purace, three of the most persistently degassing volcanoes located in the Colombian Arc Segment of the Northern Volcanic Zone. At Nevado del Ruiz, from 2014 to 2017, plume emissions showed an average molar CO2/S-T ratio of 3.9 +/- 1.6 (S-T is total sulfur, S).
