Se ofrece el perfil de la mujer que ha sufrido malos tratos, a partir de un estudio con 297 mujeres que reciben ayudas sociales por parte del Ayuntamiento de Valencia. La incidencia del maltrato en este grupo es del 37,3%. El perfil de estas mujeres, en comparación con las mujeres del mismo grupo que no han recibido malos tratos se caracteriza por ser de etnia paya, estructura familiar monoparental, estado civil separada, con varias relaciones de pareja previas y con problemas de salud psicológica. Study engagement and burnout profiles among Finnish higher education students

A person-oriented approach was applied to identify profiles of study engagement and burnout (i.e., exhaustion, cynicism, inadequacy) in higher education in a large and representative sample of 12,394 higher education students at different phases of their studies in universities and polytechnics in Finland. Four profiles were identified: Engaged (44%), engaged-exhausted (30%) inefficacious (19%) and burned-out (7%). The engaged students had the most positive engagement accompanied with the least burnout symptoms compared to other groups. Osoby wychowywane poza rodziną własną, w opiece zastępczej, są szczególnie narażone na doświadczanie trudności życiowych oraz zagrożone wykluczeniem społecznym. Badania nad młodzieżą opuszczającą opiekę zastępczą prowadzone w Europie i Stanach Zjednoczonych pokazują, że osoby te doświadczają wielu problemów w różnych obszarach funkcjonowania. Są to symptomy zaburzeń psychicznych, zachowania antyspołeczne, ryzykowne zachowania seksualne, nadużywanie substancji psychoaktywnych i wiktymizacja. La percezione del supporto sociale ed emotivo nel processo di adattamento alla malattia: uno studio con pazienti oncologici e loro caregivers.

Purpose: this study aims to investigate the role of social and emotional support in predicting patient adjustment to cancer. Patients and method: 80 patients with I stage cancer (mean age: 56,02) and their respective caregivers (mean age: 46,4) are included in the study. Participants are recruited in an outpatient oncology clinic. Most of patients (71,2%) have a breast cancer, and are treated with conservative surgery and mastectomy. Most of caregivers (78,7%) belong to patients’ family.
