En el período foral moderno, en torno a la figura del virrey se va a desarrollar en Valencia todo un mundo cortesano con sus correspondientes connotaciones culturales, sociales y políticas. Los conflictos de precedencia y protocolo acaecidos en ese marco han sido escasamente atendidos en la investigación. En este trabajo se abordan desde los diferentes planos sugeridos por la documentación analizada. Plantean fundamentalmente las relaciones establecidas entre el representante y los oficiales regios en el territorio, por una parte, y los poderes locales representados por la ciudad de Valencia y la nobleza territorial , por otra. After WWII the Polish ocean liner “Batory” operated on the route Gdynia–New York, and from 1951 to India. The captain of the ship was Jan Ćwikliński. The Ministry for Public Security accused him of having a hostile attitude towards the People’s Republic of Poland and insisted on him being removed from his position as Batory captain. In the spring of 1953 the ship underwent a technical check-up at a shipyard in Great Britain. In the mean-time it was rumoured that the captain was to be arrested upon his return to Poland on suspicion of espionage. Este artículo analiza las causas que influyeron en la dificultad de dotar las pavordías de la Universidad de Valencia en la segunda mitad del seiscientos. Los incrementos salariales de los pavordes, los gastos provocados por los continuos pleitos con los canónigos, la disminución de la renta de la pavordía, la reclamación por la Cámara Apostólica de los quindenios correspondientes y el desacuerdo entre la Ciudad y los pavordes respecto al estado de las cuentas se conjugaron para provocar la paralización de la provisión de preposituras. Molecular determinants of large cargo transport into the nucleus

Nucleocytoplasmic transport is tightly regulated by the nuclear pore complex (NPC). Among the thousands of molecules that cross the NPC, even very large (>15 nm) cargoes such as pathogens, mRNAs and pre-ribosomes can pass the NPC intact. For these cargoes, there is little quantitative understanding of the requirements for their nuclear import, especially the role of multivalent binding to transport receptors via nuclear localisation sequences (NLSs) and the effect of size on import efficiency.
