Population structure, life cycle, and trophic niche of the glacial relict amphipod, Gammaracanthus lacustris, in a large boreal lake

Ecology of the glacial relict macrocrustacean Gammaracanthus lacustris, a rare inhabitant of deep Fennoscandian lakes, is poorly understood. We studied the life cycle and trophic position of this cold‐stenothermic amphipod in Lake Paasivesi, eastern Finland. The study is based on intensive sampling and analyses of fatty acid composition as well as stable carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N) isotope ratios. Both day and night, the G. lacustris population occurred at depths below 25 m at temperatures 40 mm and live up to 4 years. The process of the carnivalization of urban space is aided by contemporary media, which, in popularizing myriad events, amplifies community activities ranging from festivals to mass public shows connected with historical events. Contemporary fascination with such phenomena finds its sources in ritualized models of para- theatrical activity rooted in the traditions of peasant culture, as well as in forms of mass folk protest. As a result, we can observe the rapidly-developing ability of city-dwellers to occupy public space while creating emotional communities that extend into virtual, and other, realms, with the aim of realizing political goals.

This article aims to study the independent Valencian drama (1968-1978) especially the activity of the groups who work with the Catalan language. In the first part there is a review of the development of this movement, centered above all on the relationship that these groups had with the Valencian drama tradition. The second part reviews the most remarkable dramatists and groups of the period: Josep Lluís Sirera, Rodolf Sirera, Manuel Molins and the Group 49, Pluja Teatre and Juli Leal and Carnestoltes.

This article examines Salvador's ability as narrator through a textual analysis of five of his works of prose –two published before the war of 1936 and three left unpublished. Alonso perceives a certain narrative weakness as a consequence of Salvador's scarce and generic knowledge of the requirements and methods of this genre.

Por el ámbito del arte he transitado siempre por instinto, sin la cartografía que, en cambio, sí me ha resultado necesaria para desarrollar estas reflexiones. No hubiera podido afrontarlas sin releer mis libros de poesía, con lápiz y papel. Esa relectura me ha deparado novedades y más de una sorpresa. I have always been passing by instinctively throughout the art field. I did not use a cartography there as I am doing while writing this thoughts. I would not have been able to face them up if I had not reread my own poetry books, having a pen and a paper by my side. This rereading has provided me novelties and, also, some surprises.
