The Chandra COSMOS Survey, I: Overview and Point Source Catalog

The Chandra COSMOS Survey (C-COSMOS) is a large, 1.8 Ms, Chandra} program that has imaged the central 0.5 sq.deg of the COSMOS field (centered at 10h, +02deg) with an effective exposure of ~160ksec, and an outer 0.4sq.deg. area with an effective exposure of ~80ksec. The limiting source detection depths are 1.9e-16 erg cm(-2) s(-1) in the Soft (0.5-2 keV) band, 7.3e(-16) erg cm^-2 s^-1 in the Hard (2-10 keV) band, and 5.7e(-16) erg cm(-2) s(-1) in the Full (0.5-10 keV) band. Photographic observations of XX century contained numerous and varied information about all objects  and  events  of  the  Universe  fixed  on  plates.  The original and interesting observations of small bodies of the Solar  system  in  previous  years  can  be  selected  and  used for various scientific tasks. Is there any scaling in the cluster distribution?

We apply fractal analysis methods to investigate the scaling properties in the Abell and ACO catalogs of rich galaxy clusters. We also discuss different technical aspects of the method when applied to data sets with small number of points as the cluster catalogs. Results are compared with simulations based on the Zel'dovich approximation. We limit our analysis to scales less than 100 $\hm$. The cluster distribution show a scale invariant multifractal behavior in a limited scale range. For the Abell catalog this range is 15--60$\hm$, while for the ACO sample it extends to smaller scales. ON THE CONCEPT OF THE ENHANCED FON CATALOG COMPILATION

We suppose to compile the enhanced version of FON (Photographic Survey of the Northern Sky) catalog of stellar positions and B-magnitudes in the sky region from -20 to 90 degrees on declination. The photographic base of the project comprises about 5,700 plates obtained at three observatories of the former SU MAO NAS of Ukraine, Kitab observatoryof Uzbekistan and Gissar observatory of Tajikistan. The mean epoch of the catalog is around 1988. The expected limited stellar magnitude is 17.5m. More than 5,400 plates are processed to support the photometric part of the catalog. NEW ASTROMETRIC REDUCTION OF THE SUPERCOSMOS PLATE ARCHIVE: FIRST RESULTS

The arrivals of the new more accuracy reference catalogues and also development of new meth- ods and approaches for reduction astrometric data give the new life for photographic plates archives. Gaia DR2 is not only a giant step in the astrometric accuracy allowing to measure new objects also provides plates archives ob- served in the past with modern accuracy. In this work we present the first results of astrometric reduction in the sys- tem of Gaia DR2 for some photographic plates that were obtained by UK Schmidt telescope (UKST) and digitized by the SuperCOSMOS scanning machine.
