Stability and variability in parents' causal attributions for their child's academic success and failure

This research examined the mean-level, interindividual and intraindividual stabilities in parents’ causal attributions for their child’s performance outcomes. Parental causal attributions to ability, effort, teaching and task difficulty were studied separately for mothers and fathers. Three Finnish data sets were used. The first sample was derived from the Jyväskylä Entrance into Primary School study, in which 212 children and their parents were followed from the beginning of the first grade to the end of the ninth grade. Research consistently suggests that loss of control (LOC) eating in children and adolescents is a key factor contributing to pediatric obesity and eating disorders. Rational Herding in Reward-Based Crowdfunding: An MTurk Experiment.

Crowdfunding is gaining popularity as a way of financing social sustainable initiatives. We performed a controlled economic experiment in MTurk by simulating a crowdfunding platform and developed a theoretical model that rationalizes herding behavior. The experiment was designed to test and quantify the causal effects of revealing specific information to prospective backers: (i) the number of early contributors already financing the project and (ii) positive opinions of other backers versus those of experts. The results show that early contributions to the campaign and positive opinions of peers act as a reinforcing signal to potential backers and affect backers&rsquo

A partire da un revisione critica degli orientamenti che pongono in discussione la legittimità di tale tecnica di tipizzazione, si propone di rilanciarne l’impiego sulla base di una corretta formulazione del giudizio di pericolo, incentrata su una ragionevole previsione normativa della probabilità di lesione.

Tali invarianti stilistiche sono altresì in rapporto con le teorie che ciascun soggetto sviluppa su se stesso. Tali teorie si rivelano come il prodotto della costruzione di false connessioni tra oggetti delle quali vengono indagati l'"uso" della relazione causale come "pseudocausalità" e le connotazioni rintracciabili nelle modalità dell'istanza superegoica.
