Effects of innovative and conventional sanitizing treatments on the reduction of Saccharomycopsis fibuligera defects on industrial durum wheat bread

2016

Wickerhamomyces anomalus, Hyphopichia burtonii and Saccharomycopsis fibuligera are spoilage yeasts causing chalk mold defects on sliced bread packaged under modified atmosphere. The first objective of this study, carried out in a bread-making company for two consecutive years, was to genetically identify yeasts isolated from spoiled sliced bread in Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and to determine the dominant species among identified strains. The second objective was to evaluate the effects of hydrogen peroxide and silver solution 12% (HPS) treatment in the leavening cells and cooling chambers, in comparison with the conventional Ortho-Phenylphenol (OPP) fumigating treatment, on the inc…

Characterisation of sedimentary and petrophysical heterogeneities of a microporous reservoir : the case of Chalk (Upper Cretaceous, Paris Basin, Fran…

2016

Chalk is defined as a microporous reservoir rock. This formation is a prolific hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir in the North Sea and is one of the main aquifers in the Paris Basin. The heterogeneity of chalk in terms of petrophysical properties (both surface and subsurface) is illustrated by porosity ranging from 4 to 52 %, permeability from 0.01 to 100 mD, and P-wave velocity on water-saturated samples from 2.4 to 4.4 km.s-1 (Alam et al., 2011).In the study area (Normandie, France), taken as an outcrop analogue, 114 samples were collected (Cenomanian – Santonian). As in the North Sea fields, these samples show great petrophysical heterogeneity: total porosity () from 6.1 to 46.5 %, very low …

The analysis of a recent historical-epigraphical monograph on Chalketor of Caria (2014) by Thibaut Boulay and Anne-V…

2014

The Channel Tunnel is the largest underground geotechnical project undertaken in Europe during the 20th century. There have been numerous proposals since the early 19th century, especially by Thomé de Gamond (1867), Potier and de Lapparent (1877), and Destombes and Shephard-Thorn (1971). This paper discusses the history of the most important geological investigations for the Channel Tunnel bored in the Lower Cenomanian Chalk Marl.

Coppie omosessuali e tutela costituzionale

2015
