In the present paper, we will present an approximate outlook of a few of the more relevant issues that determine, at the same time that reflect, the Spanish educative policies deployed from 1980 up to now. This scan of the last 25 years will allow us to see (even in a superficial and inevitably partial fashion) the tension and dialectic between tradition (noted for the persistence of outdated forms of conceiving and delivering education) and modernity (bearer of innovative trends, although not exempt from ambivalence and contradictions in its own development). Darbā ir izpētīta regulējuma ietekme uz fizisko personu datu apmaiņu un ar to saistītas problēmas. Pētījums aptver spēkā esošo un arī vēsturisko tiesisko regulējumu, to attīstību un esošo situāciju. Surrogacy relationships: a critical interpretative review

Abstract Based on a critical interpretative review of existing qualitative research investigating accounts of ‘lived experience’ of surrogates and intended parents from a relational perspective, this article proposes a typology of surrogacy arrangements. The review is based on the analysis of 39 articles, which belong to a range of different disciplines (mostly sociology, social psychology, anthropology, ethnology, and gender studies). The number of interviews in each study range from as few as seven to over one hundred. In particular, the work focuses on the debate on the possibility of configuring a legal renegotiation obligation in the Italian legal system. The critical examination of favorable positions allows us to offer a more precise reading on the margins of application of the renegotiation.

Set in the tradition of studies that look at digital interactions, this paper aims to explore the dimension of illness as referred to by informal caregivers in online exchanges. The research attempts to a) describe posts as mediated illness stories by comparing them to the storytelling in interaction model (Mishler), and b) explore what is revealed about the writer. A data set of 7371 posts (including sub-replies) has been studied as personal narratives in non-clinical therapeutic exchanges by means of Digital Conversation Analysis (Giles et al.), and investigated as written emotional disclosure (Pennebaker). Climate Resilience Pathways of Rural Households. Evidence from Ethiopia

This paper explores the resilience capacity of rural Ethiopian households after the drought shock occurred in 2011. The work develops an original empirical framework able to capture the policy and socio-economic determinants of households’ resilience capacity by making parametric statistical assumption on the resilience distribution. To this end, the analysis employs a two-wave representative panel dataset aligned with detailed weather records while controlling for a large set of household- and community-level characteristics. This study outlines a system dynamic based approach to the planning for resilience in food systems to climate change. The processes described and the insights gained are novel in the literature since they focus on describing operational aspects of resilience that can be generalized to multiple contexts and problems. On the one hand, the process described offers an aid for researchers and practitioners operationalizing resilience in public sector settings.
