Study of the decayB¯0→Λc+p¯π+π−and its intermediate states
2013
We study the decay B^0→Λ_c^+p π^+π^-, reconstructing the Λ_c^+ baryon in the pK^-π^+ mode, using a data sample of 467×10^6 BB pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage rings at SLAC. We measure branching fractions for decays with intermediate Σ_c baryons to be B[B^0→Σ_c(2455)^(++)pπ^-]=(21.3±1.0±1.0±5.5)×10^(-5), B[B^0→Σ_c(2520)^(++)pπ^-]=(11.5±1.0±0.5±3.0)×10^(-5), B[B^0→Σ_c(2455)^0pπ^+]=(9.1±0.7±0.4±2.4)×10^(-5), and B[B^0→Σ_c(2520)^0pπ^+]=(2.2±0.7±0.1±0.6)×10^(-5), where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the uncertainty on the Λ_c^+→pK^-π^+ branching fraction, respectively. For decays without Σ_c(2455) or Σ_c(2520) resonances, we measure B[B^0→…
Study of the baryonicBdecayB−→Σc++p¯π−π−
2012
We report the measurement of the baryonic B decay B- -> SigmaC++ p- pi- pi-. Using a data sample of 467*10^6 B B-bar pairs collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II storage ring at SLAC, the measured branching fraction is (2.98 +/- 0.16 (stat) +/- 0.15 (syst) +/- 0.77 (LambdaC+))*10^{-4}, where the last error is due to the uncertainty in the branching fraction of the decay LambdaC+ -> p+ K- pi+. The data suggest the existence of resonant subchannels B- -> LambdaC(2595)+ p- pi- and, possibly, B- -> SigmaC++ anti-Delta-- pi-. We see unexplained structures in m(SigmaC++ pi- pi-) at 3.25 GeV/c^2, 3.8 GeV/c^2, and 4.2 GeV/c^2.
PREDICTION OF HIDDEN CHARM BARYONS WITH HEAVY QUARK SPIN AND LOCAL HIDDEN GAUGE SYMMETRIES
2014
In our talk, we explore a coupled channel unitary approach to investigate the meson baryon interaction with hidden charm, using constraints of heavy quark spin symmetry. With the full space of states demanded by the heavy quark spin symmetry and the dynamics of the local hidden gauge, we find four basic states which are bound by about 50 MeV with respect to the corresponding [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] thresholds respectively and decay mostly into ηcN and J/ψN. All the states appear in isospin I = 1/2, some of which are degenerated in different momentum J.
Meson resonances in the open and hidden charm sectors
2008
We briefly expose our model for generating open and hidden charm resonances and present the most interesting results.
Mass of the bottom quark from Upsilon(1S) at NNNLO: an update
2016
We update our perturbative determination of MSbar bottom quark mass mb(mb), by including the recently obtained four-loop coefficient in the relation between the pole and MSbar mass. First the renormalon subtracted (RS or RS') mass is determined from the known mass of the Upsilon(1S) meson, where we use the renormalon residue Nm obtained from the asymptotic behavior of the coefficient of the 3-loop static singlet potential. MSbar mass is then obtained using the 4-loop renormalon-free relation between the RS (RS') and MSbar mass. We argue that the effects of the charm quark mass are accounted for by effectively using Nf=3 in the mass relations. The extracted value is mb(mb) = 4222(40) MeV, wh…
Selected topics on Hadrons in Nuclei
2011
In this talk we report on selected topics on hadrons in nuclei. The first topic is the renormalization of the width of the $\Lambda(1520)$ in a nuclear medium. This is followed by a short update of the situation of the $\omega$ in the medium. The investigation of the properties of $\bar{K}$ in the nuclear medium from the study of the $(K_{flight},p)$ reaction is also addressed, as well as properties of X,Y,Z charmed and hidden charm resonances in a nuclear medium. Finally we address the novel issue of multimeson states.
Measurement of Associated Production ofZBosons with Charm Quark Jets inpp¯Collisions ats=1.96 TeV
2014
We present the first measurements of the ratios of cross sections sigma(p (p) over bar -> Z + c jet)/sigma(p (p) over bar -> Z + jet) and sigma(p (p) over bar -> Z + jet)/sigma(p (p) over bar -> Z + b jet) for the associated production of a Z boson with at least one charm or bottom quark jet. Jets have transverse momentum p(T)(jet) > 20 GeV and pseudorapidity vertical bar eta(jet)vertical bar collisions collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider at root s = 1.96 TeV. The measurements show significant deviations from perturbative QCD calculations and predictions from various event generators.
Studies of the resonance structure inD0→KS0K±π∓decays
2016
Amplitude models are constructed to describe the resonance structure of D0→ K-π+π+π- and D0→ K+π-π-π+ decays using pp collision data collected at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV with the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb- 1. The largest contributions to both decay amplitudes are found to come from axial resonances, with decay modes D0→ a1(1260) +K- and D0→ K1(1270 / 1400) +π- being prominent in D0→ K-π+π+π- and D0→ K+π-π-π+, respectively. Precise measurements of the lineshape parameters and couplings of the a1(1260) +, K1(1270) - and K(1460) - resonances are made, and a quasi model-independent study of the K(1460) - resonance is performed. The coher…
Measurements of the Absolute Branching Fractions of B±→K±Xcc̅
2006
We study the two-body decays of ${B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ mesons to ${K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ and a charmonium state ${X}_{c\overline{c}}$ in a sample of $210.5\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of data from the BABAR experiment. We perform measurements of absolute branching fractions $\mathcal{B}({B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{X}_{c\overline{c}})$ using a missing mass technique, and report several new or improved results. In particular, the upper limit $\mathcal{B}\mathbf{(}{B}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}X(3872)\mathbf{)}l3.2\ifmmode…
Observation of the decayB¯0→Λc+p¯π0
2010
In a sample of 467 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP- II collider at SLAC we have observed the decay (B) over bar (0) -> Lambda(+)(c)(p) over bar pi(0) and measured the branching fraction to be (1.94 +/- 0.17 +/- 0.14 +/- 0.50 x 10(-4), where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and the uncertainty on the Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-)pi(+) branching fraction, respectively. We determine an upper limit of 1.5 x 10(-6) at 90% C.L. for the product branching fraction B((B) over bar (0) -> Sigma(+)(c) (2455)(p) over bar) x B(Lambda(+)(c) -> pK(-) pi(+)). Furthermore, we observe an enhancement at the threshold of the invariant mass of the baryon- antibaryo…
