Estimating growth charts via nonparametric quantile regression: a practical framework with application in ecology.

We discuss a practical and effective framework to estimate reference growth charts via regression quantiles. Inequality constraints are used to ensure both monotonicity and non-crossing of the estimated quantile curves and penalized splines are employed to model the nonlinear growth patterns with respect to age. A companion R package is presented and relevant code discussed to favour spreading and application of the proposed methods.

Questo articolo esplora il contenuto delle cento canzoni italiane più vendute, nel periodo che va dal 1960 al 2019, utilizzando un approccio computazionale inedito che combina analisi testuale e analisi musicale automatica. I brani italiani da classifica hanno intercettato alcuni dei principali trend storici, culturali e sociali degli ultimi sessant’anni. Dalla ricerca emergono sei temi ricorrenti (perdono, fuga, amore passione, fatica, fantasia e vitalità) e due dimensioni di senso latenti (patire vs. agire e divertirsi vs. riflettere), che caratterizzano i testi analizzati. “Telemetrijas iekārtu GSM datu monitorings un analītika” ir uz tīmekļa tehnoloģijām balstīta sistēma, kas realizēta, kā esošas sistēmas modulis. Sistēmas lietotājam ir iespējams pārraudzīt GSM datu patēriņu visām sistēmas iekārtām, filtrēt un salīdzināt GSM datu patēriņu pēc dažādiem parametriem. Sistēma nodrošina arī SIM karšu aktivizēšanas un deaktivizēšanas uzdevumu funkcionalitāti. Šajā darbā izstrādātā programmatūra, ir implementēta reālā dzīvē un tiek lietota. Projekts realizēts pēc spējās izstrādes metodoloģijas. Programmatūras izstrādes procesā izmantotās tehnoloģijas: Yii 1.1.15 (MVC ietvars), MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, Chart.js, LESS, Grunt.
