Risk-Reducing Gynecological Surgery in Lynch Syndrome: Results of an International Survey from the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database.

Purpose: To survey risk-reducing hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO) practice and advice regarding hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in women with Lynch syndrome. Methods: We conducted a survey in 31 contributing centers from the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database (PLSD), which incorporates 18 countries worldwide. The survey covered local policies for risk-reducing hysterectomy and BSO in Lynch syndrome, the timing when these measures are offered, the involvement of stakeholders and advice regarding HRT. The campomelic syndrome: review, report of 17 cases, and follow-up on the currently 17-year-old boy first reported by Maroteaux et al in 1971.

We report 17 cases of the campomelic syndrome (CS) and a follow-up of one of the original patients of Maroteaux et al who is now 17 years old. Our review is based on 97 patients, including our own. An infant with the CS presents at birth with spectacularly short and bowed femora and tibiae. The initial chest radiograph confirms the diagnosis by demonstrating extremely small bladeless scapulae and hypoplastic pedicles of many thoracic vertebrae. Ossification of the sternal segments, pubis, talus, and knee epiphyses is also retarded. Usually the hips are dislocated and talipes equinovarus deformities are present. The Ŭnhasu Orchestra was a major North Korean ensemble in 2009–2013. It was established by Kim Jong Il (Kim Chŏng’il, 김정일) and was composed of young musicians and singers of both genders, several of them having studied in foreign higher educational institutions in countries like Austria, Italy, Russia and China. Its members represented the core class of the North Korean society. The previous study of the authors developes the interdisciplinary analysis method of tension design combining music theoretical and perception approaches (investigating contemporary music). La chapelle Notre-Dame du Chemin est un site emblématique de la côte viticole, à environ 5 km au NE de Beaune, sur le territoire de la commune de Ladoix-Serrigny en Côte-d’Or. Le diagnostic archéologique réalisé au pied de l’actuel édifice s’est déroulé du 5 au 9 mars 2018. En dépit d’une emprise limitée au fuseau d’un futur réseau de drainage, l’opération a permis de documenter l’évolution de l’environnement de la chapelle depuis la fin du premier Moyen Âge jusqu’à nos jours. La sépulture d’un individu adulte, aménagée de dalles de calcaire, datée par radiocarbone des XIe-XIIe s., constitue le témoignage le plus ancien de l’occupation humaine du site [...]

Sotilaslentokone sai tulikasteensa ensimmäisessä maailmansodassa. Lentokoneilla taivaalla sotineet miehet nousivat sodan aikana kansan sankareiksi. Tutkin ensimmäisen maailmansodan hävittäjälentäjien sankarimyyttiä Englannissa ja Saksassa sodan aikana ja sen jälkeen. Tutkin aihetta analysoimalla englantilaisen The Manchester Guardian -lehden ja saksalaisen Freiburger Zeitung -lehden kirjoituksia hävittäjälentäjistä. Tutkin lehdistä vuosia 1915–1924. Analysoin lisäksi kuuden kuuluisan hävittäjälentäjän omaelämäkertoja.
