Vēsturiski bērnu literatūras balvas ir izveidotas, lai uzlabotu bērnu literatūras kvalitāti un veicinātu bērnu grāmatu patēriņu. Mūsdienās tās var uzskatīt par socio-politisku spēli, ar mērķi novērtēt, leģitimizēt un dalīties idejām un vērtībām, kas kādai no sabiedrībām ir būtiskas. Darbā ir pievērsta uzmanība apbalvošanas fenomenam no dažādām perspektīvām, kā arī aplūkotas bērnu literatūras apbalvošanai raksturīgākās iezīmes. Īpaša uzmanība pievērsta Astrīdas Lindgrēnes piemiņas balvas (ALMA) specifikai, nominēšanas detaļām, laureātu un kandidātu analīzei, kā arī ALMA balvai grāmatizdošanas kontekstā Latvijā, un tiek pētīta tās popularitāte bibliotekāru vidū.

The aim of this thesis is to understand the legal status of unmarried couples, over a period of time extending for nearly five centuries. The canon law of marriage relegated cohabitation to a permanent state of sin, and in the sixteenth century, the council of Trent prescribed severe penalties to punish cohabitation. The fathers of the council enacted rules governing the celebration of marriage. Secular authority then gradually arrogated jurisdiction in matrimonial matters by means of laws and jurisprudence. This paper addresses the role of social emotional competence in the emotional and behavioral problems and learning outcomes of preschool children based on their parents’ and teachers’ evaluations. In this study, we compared the perceptions of teachers and parents when evaluating the same child using the multi-informant assessment. Abstract Background Patterns of weight cycling in adult combat sports have been extensively studied, yet data on this matter in youth combat athletes is rather scarce. Methods PubMed, EBSCOhost and Web of Science were used to retrieve relevant data. Eligible studies had to record the methods used to elicit rapid weight loss (RWL) and/or record the oscillations in bodyweight during the RWL phase. Only studies conducted in the context of an official competition were considered for inclusion in the present review. Arvien vairāk ģimeņu migrē, kļūstot par globāliem nomadiem un attīstot transnacionālu identitāti. Tāpēc lielāka uzmanība jāpievērš imigrantu bērniem, jo īpaši gados jaunāki cilvēki kļūst par trešās kultūras bērniem. Tā ir kultūra, kas ir atšķirīga no dzimtās zemes un mītnes zemes kultūras. Latvijā un Vācijā ir līdzīga problēma – izglītības sistēma nav pietiekami adaptēta imigrantu bērniem. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt konceptu „trešās kultūras bērni” un pieejamo informāciju par tešo valstu bērnu integrāciju abās valstīt, piemērojot kvalitatīvo pētniecības metodi, lai apkopotu un analizētu datus. Aims: We aimed to examine the association between maternal adiposity and glucose metabolism in adult offspring without diabetes, simultaneous taking offspring own adiposity into account. Methods: This longitudinal birth cohort study (Helsinki Birth Cohort Study) included 1,440 non-diabetic subjects examined at a mean age of 62 years. Subjects were divided into quartiles according to maternal body mass index (BMI). The impact of maternal BMI on offspring body composition was also studied.
