Il contributo analizza il passo dell'Agamennone di Eschilo (821-829) in cui l'assalto finale a Troia viene presentato dal duce vincitore con un lessico che rinvia a un bestiario mostruoso e crudivoro, in una visione ferina della conquista di Troia, anticipata anche nella parodo dal paragone con gli avvoltoi che si vendicano del nido vuoto. Sotto il filtro mitico della guerra di Troia si cela pertanto una riflessione di tipo etico che individua nella guerra una situazione di limite pericoloso, in cui un essere umano rischia la deriva verso la ferocia e la bestiliatà.

La Croce Rossa Italiana nelle miniere di zolfo in Sicilia ha iniziato a svolgere il suo primo servizio in tempo di pace nel 1898, a 34 anni dalla sua fondazione. E' stata ammirevole l'attività di I. Di Giovanni e di altri medici, anche dell'Università degli Studi di Palermo, quali A. Trmbusti ed i suoi allievi A. Amato e G. Gabrielli. Abstract According to current theory, the splitting of a single species into two is best observed by a ring of intergrading populations which occupy a ring-shaped distribution area and whose terminal populations not only meet but overlap and co-occur without or with only little hybridization. The three most discussed examples in birds are revisited here. The great tit complex ( Parus major s. l.) turned out to be an assemblage of four subspecies groups forming a secondary ring of population. [EN] La Blanca and Chilonche are two of the many Mayan settlements located on the lower reaches of the Mopan river (Department of Petén, Guatemala). The archaeological work conducted by La Blanca Project (University of Valencia, Spain) over the last ten years has revealed the rich polychrome of the monumental architecture of these sites, where the remains of ancient mural paintings are of the highest quality.
