La necrópolis tardo-antigua del Tossal de les Basses (Alicante, España): tipología y primera aproximación interpretativa y cronológica

Se presenta en este artículo un resumen del estudio pormenorizado que hemos realizado sobre una importante necrópolis tardo-antigua que, hoy por hoy y pese a su extensión y número total de individuos (cerca del millar), no puede vincularse con ningún núcleo urbano de importancia. Su desarrollo desde mediados del s. IV hasta la llegada de los musulmanes a inicios del s. VIII, y la aparición de un nuevo asentamiento y necrópolis alto-medieval en sus cercanías, hacen a esta necrópolis fundamental para entender la evolución de la zona con posterioridad a la desaparición en el s. Artykuł prezentuje badania dotyczące zabytkowych „dokumentów nestoriańskich” zwanych „Sutrami Jezusa”, które powstały podczas pierwszej misji Kościoła Wschodu do Chin w VII w. pod przewodnictwem Alopena. Teksty te są syntezą chrystologii oraz elementów teologii chrześcijańskiej istotną z punktu widzenia misji w Chinach. Opisują dogmaty chrześcijańskie za pomocą taoistycznej i buddyjskiej terminologii, filozofii, an-tropologii, kosmologii i symboliki. The essay concerns the results of the archaeological excavation carried out in the area East of the s.c. "hypogeum L" in the Early Christian cemetery of Agrigentum in the year 1999; it contains, also, the catalogue of the Medieval coarse and cooking wares (ollae) found in the area, and the different types of supports used in the ceramic workshop established in the Late Antique cemetery during the Middle Ages.

The seventh Quaderno Digitale di Archeologia Postclassica contains the results of the researches conducted by the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Palermo and by the Pontificia Commissione di Archeologia Sacra in the Early Christian catacomb of Villagrazia di Carini during the years 2013-2014. Emma Vitale and Fortunatina Vaccaro present the stratigraphic excavation carried out in the south-eastern district of the cemetery, while, in the third study of the book, Giuseppe Falzone analyzes two painted funerary inscriptions on the interior walls of Byzantine burials brought to light, in recent years, along the Decumanus Maximus of Lilybaeum.

Academic research on newly discovered ancient Buddhist manuscripts is largely based on objects that come from the antiquities market and to a much lesser degree on objects coming from documented and controlled archaeological excavations. Despite their being unprovenanced, collectors and scholars often present such objects with narratives mimicking provenance. The use of the label "Dead Sea Scrolls" attached to archaeological material without connections to Judaism or early Christianity is a prevalent example of this scholarly praxis. Abstract The application of retrofit actions to existing building stocks can improve the energy performance of the residential sector. In this context, particular attention should be given to historical buildings, which represent a large part of the Italian building stock.
