La transmisión del Comentario al tratado hipocrático Sobre los humores dista mucho de ser satisfactoria en la edición de Kühn, y sólo muy recientemente Ivan Garofalo ha renovado de manera substancial el estado de la cuestión. La presente nota aborda el tema desde otra perspectiva, basada en un análisis textual que ha tomado como base un corpus suficiente, aproximadamente los doce primeros capítulos del libro primero de la obra, cerca de ciento cincuenta páginas en la edición de Kühn. Celama es el territorio imaginado por Luis Mateo Díez que cobra forma en las novelas que integran la trilogía El reino de Celama: El espíritu del Páramo. Un relato (1996), La ruina del cielo. Un obituario (1999) y El oscurecer. Un encuentro (2002). Nos presenta tres momentos diferentes de la historia de Celama articulados en torno a la llegada del agua a partir de la construcción del pantano de Burma, un pantano en gran medida trasunto de la política hidráulica desarrollada durante la dictadura franquista, pues Celama no es más que un trasunto de Espaæa3, de la que es, de la que ha sido y de la que fue.
Is really Syntipas a translation? The case of The faithful dog

The fable entitled 'The faithful dog' has been transmitted by means of a manifold sample of versions, from which Pausanias' is the oldest, according with a sure chronology. It is commonly said that the Greek version afforded by the Book of Syntipas the philosopher is a mere XIIth cent. translation of the hypothetically reconstructed original Indian text. Our contribution suggests that the text of the Syntipas' version does not follow the grammatical patterns of literary translation. Just on the contrary, it shows a striking lexical coincidence with the text given by Pausanias. No hi ha gens d'originalitat a concebre que l'acció d'una narració protagonitzada per un gran guerrer tingui com a escenari principal el de Constantinoble i l'imperi grec. És bona veritat que quan l'autor o autors del Tirant lo Blanc va(n) orientar les peripècies del seu heroi cap a aquests indrets, potser no pas de bell antuvi, ans després de descartar diverses alternatives, podia o podien remetre's a molts precedents dins el gènere.

New Linguistic Uses on the Comic Stage : Non-standard Devices

The comic festivals became a useful platform for transferring those linguistic innovations already common in daily speech to a literary frame. This was a regular behaviour among the comediographers, while the tragic poets did it in a much more restricted way. This paper will focus on the comic attestations of the linguistic change occurred in two different dialectal areas, Attica and Sicily. The comic testimonies show a greater closeness to the common people and reflect the linguistic change better than other literary genres. Many of the analyzed features reappear either in the non-literary Koine of our papyrological records or in the usually simply elaborated Biblical Greek.
