Du monnayage au crypto-monnayage

2020

Minting Techniques in Currencies and Cryptocurrencies. Over the past ten years, the creation of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has renewed the debate on the nature of money. This paper discusses the comparison between cryptocurrencies and coins : after describing their ideological and technical foundations, we explain the reasons why the reference to metals is often invoked. We then detail the techniques of minting, the processes of marking, and the question of seigniorage.

La herencia indoeuropea en la religión griega : Arquíloco, Calímaco y Estrabón

2008

Jordi Redondo, Greek Religion's indoeuropean heritage, DHA 34/2, 2008, 9-32. Abstract : Greek religion seems to be characterized by a scarce indebtment to the indoeuropean heritage, as pointed out by G. Dumézil and others. This is contribution takes the opposite perspective, as such an heritage is fully at work all along the evolution of Greek culture. Literary examples will be used, from authors of the archaic period, like the iambographer Archilochus of Paros, as well as of the Hellenistic and Imperial period, like the poet Callimachus or the geographer and historian Strabo.

La escritura medieval de la Corona de Aragón (1137-1474)

2020

In this study, we analyze concisely the evolution of the forms adopted by the script of the Crown of Aragon, from 1137 until 1474. The chronological period analyzed includes the formal variations of the gothic and the humanistic ones. We have not only described the external aspect and the chronology for both of them, but we have also tried to rebuild the different contexts of use of the writing and the formal characteristics that it adopted, as far as the different functionality is concerned. Given that the most studied field is the Royal Cancillería, its documentation forms the leading thread of this article. Moreover, ocher material (epigraphic, phylactery, from books, etc.) will allow u…

Adolphe Gubler y el Journal de Thérapeutique (1874-1883)

1993

Contributions to the History of Psychology: LXI. Language of Publications Referred to in Four American Journals, 1887–1945: A Synthesis

1989

The language dimension of the interaction with world psychology, reflected in the contributions to the American Journal of Psychology, Psychological Review, Psychological Bulletin, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology, was one of the topics examined in a series of doctoral dissertations written in the 1980s at the University of Valencia under the direction of Prof. Helio Carpintero. The studies yielded information on well over 100,000 references. The present synthesis documents the trends toward a relative decrease in references to works written in French and German, and an increase in references to publications written in English. In the 20th century the percentage of references to …
