Restrictions for reimbursement of interferon-free direct-acting antiviral drugs for HCV infection in Europe
2018
All-oral direct-acting antiviral drugs (DAAs) for hepatitis C virus, which have response rates of 95% or more, represent a major clinical advance. However, the high list price of DAAs has led many governments to restrict their reimbursement. We reviewed the availability of, and national criteria for, interferon-free DAA reimbursement among countries in the European Union and European Economic Area, and Switzerland. Reimbursement documentation was reviewed between Nov 18, 2016, and Aug 1, 2017. Primary outcomes were fibrosis stage, drug or alcohol use, prescriber type, and HIV co-infection restrictions. Among the 35 European countries and jurisdictions included, the most commonly reimbursed …
La moneda romana imperial y su circulación en Hispania
2002
This paper deals with coins in circulation in Roman Spain during the Imperial Period (I-IV cent. AD). New archaeological data and hoards indicate that coins survived and remained in use much longer than the periods into which they are traditionally grouped according to the date of minting. During this period the coins used in ancient Spain proceeded entirely from abroad reflecting the vicissitudes of Roman state production, with some notable provincial and urban characteristics.
I rinvenimenti monetali dal santuario extramoenia di Sabucina
2003
The contribution presents two hoards found inside the service rooms of the extramoenia sanctuary of Sabucina, an anellenic center in the Sicilian hinterland. It is a unique context in the panorama of indigenous settlements in Sicily, also because the hoards were discovered during a stratigraphic excavation and the associated materials date their burial to the early 4th century BC, when the site was abandoned
Combinatorial Identification of Hydrides in a Ligated Ag40 Nanocluster with Non-compact Metal Core
2019
No formation of bulk silver hydride has been reported. Until very recently, only few silver nanoclusters containing hydrides have been successfully prepared. However, due to the lack of effective techniques and also poor stability of hydride-containing Ag nanoclusters, the identification of hydrides’ location within Ag nanoclusters is challenging and not yet achieved although some successes have been reported on clusters of several Ag atoms. In this work, we report a detailed structural and spectroscopic characterization of the [Ag40(DMBT)24(PPh3)8H12]2+ (Ag40H12) cluster (DMBT=2,4-dimethylbenzenethiol). The metal framework consists of three-concentric shells of Ag8@Ag24@Ag8 which can be de…
L’iconografia religiosa fenicia nelle emissioni puniche della Sicilia: il caso di Cossura
2002
The themes of the Phoenician-Punic religious tradition occupy a secondary place in the monetary typology of the Punic cities of Sicily, while, outside the borders of the region, especially in the areas closest to Africa, they retain a prominent place: the case of Cossura, today Pantelleria, is emblematic. The emissions of the island, in fact, still in Roman times, present religious symbols of Phoenician-Punic tradition, demonstrating the persistence of the original cultural and religious identity even after the Roman conquest (217 BC)
Coincidence and common fixed points of weakly reciprocally continuous and compatible hybrid mappings via an implicit relation and an application
2015
Using the hybrid version of the notion of weakly reciprocal continuous mappings due to Gairola et al. [Coincidence and fixed point for weakly reciprocally continuous single-valued and multi-valued maps, Demonstratio Math. (2013/2014), accepted], we prove a coincidence and common fixed point theorem for a hybrid pair of compatible mappings via an implicit relation. Our main result improves and generalizes a host of previously known theorems. As an application, we give a homotopy theorem which supports our main result.
Threshold Effects in the U.S. Budget Deficit. ECONOMIC INQUIRY
2004
We contribute to the debate on whether the U.S. large federal budget deficits are sustainable in the long run. We model the U.S. government deficit per capita as a threshold autoregressive process. We find evidence that the U.S. budget deficit is sustainable in the long run and that economic policy makers will only intervene to reduce per capita deficit when it reaches a certain threshold.
Kriptovalūtas kā noziedzīga nodarījuma instruments, to tiesiskais regulējums un problemātika
2018

2019
Artykuł omawia cywilizacyjny kontekst powstania animacji społeczno-kulturalnej i jej dawne uwarunkowania, wskazując na rozwój jej zadań i funkcji. Animacja to dziejąca się zmiana w grupach i społecznościach lokalnych, będąca nerwem demokracji i społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. Artykuł kończy uzasadnienie jej potrzeby w skomplikowanej sytuacji funkcjonowania człowieka w zglobalizowanym świecie.
