A recent and new Republican denarius restored by Trajan is studied and discussed. The issue is extremely rare as no image of it is known so far. It was found in Carcaboso, Cáceres (Conventus Emeritensis, Lusitania), very near of the road known as Vía de la Plata, very surely in a Roman mansio.

Time-of-flight elastic recoil detection (ToF-ERD) analysis software has been developed. The software combines a Python-language graphical front-end with a C code computing back-end in a user-friendly way. The software uses a list of coincident time-of- flight–energy (ToF–E) events as an input. The ToF calibration can be determined with a simple graphical procedure. The graphical interface allows the user to select different elements and isotopes from a ToF–E histogram and to convert the selections to individual elemental energy and depth profiles. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of th e most common effects of aging in men. Epidemiologists estimate that about one quarter of all men over 50 years of age suffer from BPH-derived voiding symptoms. Future demographic developments, with higher relative shares of older people, will increase the socioeconomic impact of this disease. Polder et al. (1994) calculated for the Netherlands that the treatment costs of BPH will double by 2035. Office visits for BPH related symptoms increased in the USA from 1.4 million in 1990 to 6 million in 1995, reflecting the increased public awareness of the problem and the increased desire for treatment (Kaplan et al. 1996).

Tutkielman tavoitteena on selvittää, tarjoaako viimeisen vuosikymmenen aika- na suosioon noussut kryptovaluutta Bitcoin käyttäjilleen anonymiteettiä. Kryptovaluuttojen anonymiteetin tarkasteluun eivät perinteiseen tiedonsiirtoon liitetyt anonymiteetin teoreemat täysin sovellu ja tästä johtuen on muodostettu kryptovaluuttoja koskeva uusi anonymiteetin määritelmä. Tämän uuden määritelmän mukaisesti anonymiteettia tarkastellessa on selvää, että Bitcoin ei oletusarvoisesti tarjoa käyttäjilleen anonymiteettia. In real life, bacterial infections are typically embedded within complex multispecies communities and influenced by the environment, which can shape costs and benefits of AMR. Dating archaeological copper/bronze artifacts by using the voltammetry of microparticles.

A method for dating copper/bronze archaeological objects aged in atmospheric environments is proposed based on the specific signals for cuprite and tenorite corrosion products measured through the voltammtry of microparticles method. The tenorite/cuprite ratio increased with the corrosion time and fitted to a potential law that yielded a calibration curve usable for dating purposes.
