Many studies, from its theoretical grounding to its usefulness as a resource for quantum information processing and experimental demonstrations, have been reported in the literature. Chromatic sums for colorings avoiding monochromatic subgraphs

Abstract Given graphs G and H, a vertex coloring c : V ( G ) → N is an H-free coloring of G if no color class contains a subgraph isomorphic to H. The H-free chromatic number of G, χ ( H , G ) , is the minimum number of colors in an H-free coloring of G. The H-free chromatic sum of G , Σ ( H , G ) , is the minimum value achieved by summing the vertex colors of each H-free coloring of G. We provide a general bound for Σ ( H , G ) , discuss the computational complexity of finding this parameter for different choices of H, and prove an exact formulas for some graphs G. Enhanced detection of contrast regions in echocardiograms by adaptive quantization

The statistics of ultrasound echo images are governed by Rayleigh statistics. The authors derive some experimentally verifiable predictions of this theory, compare them with experimental results obtained from echocardiographic images, and derive a new color coding scheme, (adaptive quantization) that is adapted to the signal-dependent noise predicted by theory. This results in some technical advantages and in an improved discrimination of regions of the echo image that are enhanced by echo contrast material. >

El presente artículo busca ofrecer un análisis en torno a un conjunto de pinturas de pequeño formato que Pablo Picasso realizó durante sus vacaciones en Dinard el mes de agosto de 1928. Estas supusieron una transformación pictórica radical, además de una breve etapa fascinante que afianzaron decisivamente las perversiones monstruosas del cuerpo y su sexualidad en la obra del pintor malagueño. Para ello, será necesario hacer un breve repaso sobre los años anteriores a 1928 para comprender el origen de esta fractura pictórica, además de destacar su huella en algunos cambios significativos que Picasso adoptará en su pintura posterior a esta misma fecha.

Abstract Although many studies have demonstrated an influence of uniform colors on sports performance, there are still more questions than answers regarding this issue. In our study, participants from Poland (N = 147) and China (N = 143) watched a two-minute video of a semi-professional boxing match. The participants viewed six different versions of the same fight - the original was modified to change the colors of the boxers’ trunks (red vs. blue, blue vs. red, blue vs. black, black vs. blue, red vs. black, and black vs. red). “Muzeja sērijas” trešā grāmata “Ferdinands Erdmanis Štolls. Sēņu pasaule.” Tā ir neliels ieskats mikologa F. E. Štolla (Ferdinand. Erdman Stoll; 1874–1966) vairāk kā 1000 lapu lielajā sēņu attēlu kolekcijā, ko zinātnieks ir izveidojis pētot Latvijas sēnes un, kas pamatā sastāv no paša pētnieka zīmētajiem akvareļiem.
