O modelo da economia do bem comum: abordagem a partir da abordagem organizacional e análise bibliométrica
2019

2017
In this article, social cohesion is presented in terms of belonging, interdependence, integration, sharing, participation, but also as corresponsibility between the different actors present in a territory. The promotion of social cohesion, therefore, essentially has to do with educational interventions aimed at social inclusion. Compared to the more traditional interventions on social emergencies, supporting social cohesion means in fact enhancing relations between members of society and promoting the common good through the collective assumption of responsibility. The role of the school is crucial in this, but also of lifelong learning, therefore the Third Mission of Universities.
Social Innovation for Sustainability and the Common Good in Ecosystems of the Fourth Sector: The Case of Distribution Through Alternative Food Networ…
2021
There is increasing attention regarding the contribution of alternative food networks (AFN) for creating more sustainable communities. AFN are initiatives, which try to relocalize and democratize food systems, promoting local and organic agriculture, and reducing the distance between producers and consumers. They take different forms from cooperatives and farmers’ markets to on-line platforms, veg boxes and social enterprises. They propose socially innovative schemes and models for food distribution, which combine an orientation towards public and common good with economic self-sufficiency. In this sense, these initiatives frequently take the form of fourth sector or hybrid organizations.
La Responsabilidad Social de la Educación Superior como Bien Común. Concepto y desafíos
2018
Applying the Economy for the Common Good Framework to the European Firms: Antecedents, Profile, and Measurement Theory Validation
2021
Alliances between For-Profit and Non-Profit Organizations as an Instrument to Implement the Economy for the Common Good
2020
The model of the Economy for the Common Good (ECG) has cooperation as one of its main principles. This alternative economic model proposes to prioritize cooperation over competition to favor the creation of social value. From this point of view, strategic alliances between organizations can be used as an instrument that supports implementation of the ECG model. In recent years, alliances between for-profit and non-profit entities have been strengthened as a method to facilitate actions focused on social responsibility and sustainability. Moreover, the ECG model has become an adequate management framework for corporate sustainability. This work aims to connect alliances between for-profit an…
On Sustainable Management in Local Governance of Water: a Prospective Localized Study
2006
In the face of the changes in the planet's natural resources and of their unequal distribution, it is becoming more urgent that contemporary societies oversee environmental assets in a global manner. Although international directives, when they are transposed into national laws, may set specific objectives, meeting them at the local level is as yet an uneven enterprise. Nevertheless we hope to demonstrate, using a case-study involving local tensions over water resources, that public management of the crisis may be developed that effectively involves the civic society, by using the incentives and enforcement tools of central government and of local institutions.
