HINTS: A novel approach for realistic simulations of vehicular communications

One of the main challenges in the Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) research domain is the simulation of vehicular communications using realistic mobility models. Several efforts have been put lately in this purpose; yet, the proposed models are either inappropriate, or carry significant disadvantages. A Non-WSSUS Mobile-to-Mobile Channel Model Assuming Velocity Variations of the Mobile Stations

This paper aims to characterize the effects that the velocity variations of the mobile stations (MSs) produce on the correlation properties of non-stationary time-frequency (TF) dispersive mobile- to-mobile (M2M) fading channels. Toward that end, we propose a novel geometrical model for non-wide-sense stationary uncorrelated scattering (non-WSSUS) M2M channels that incorporates such variations following a plane wave propagation approach. Improving Chord Lookup Protocol for P2PSIP-Based Communication Systems

Chord has been suggested as mandatory overlay technology in the future P2PSIP-based communication systems. Chord allows for the available peer/resource lookup in no more than hops, where N is the total number of the peers in the overlay network.
