Abstract The chromium(III) complex [CrIII(ddpd)2]3+ (molecular ruby; ddpd=N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐dipyridine‐2‐yl‐pyridine‐2,6‐diamine) is reduced to the genuine chromium(II) complex [CrII(ddpd)2]2+ with d4 electron configuration. This reduced molecular ruby represents one of the very few chromium(II) complexes showing spin crossover (SCO). The reversible SCO is gradual with T 1/2 around room temperature. The low‐spin and high‐spin chromium(II) isomers exhibit distinct spectroscopic and structural properties (UV/Vis/NIR, IR, EPR spectroscopies, single‐crystal XRD). Excitation of [CrII(ddpd)2]2+ with UV light at 20 and 290 K generates electronically excited states with microsecond lifetimes. This…

International audience; The aim of this study was to identify an accurate tool to enable fitness club managers to discover those opinions or stereotypes which represent obstacles to joining their organisations. Starting with brand image, the analysis then considered social representations as relevant constructs for apprehending these opinions or prejudices. The cleft lip and palate patient is mainly characterized by the presence of an oronasal communication, malformation or agenesis of the teeth close to the cleft, and deficient sagittal and transverse growth of the maxilla. Are students offered possibilities to experience democratic practice in classrooms? Using an analysis of empirical data from classroom discussions in lower secondary school, this article identifies and explores two different types of classroom discussions which give students different positions: a conversation in which students are positioned as ‘poll respondents’, and a more deliberative conversation which positions students as learning debaters. Artykuł ma na celu przybliżenie zagadnień związanych z różnym pojmowaniem koncepcji stylu na Wschodzie i na Zachodzie. W ujęciu lingwistycznym zestawione zostaną określenia dotyczące stylu występujące w stylu osobniczym badacza stylu w języku polskim i definicje stylu zawarte w znaczeniu ideogramów języka chińskiego mandaryńskiego w wersji tradycyjnej. Konkretne realizacje, spotykane w tekstach specjalistycznych, zestawione zostaną z semantyką odległego geograficznie i strukturalnie języka, by ułatwić odpowiedź na pytanie o indywidualistyczny i uniwersalistyczny - uzależniony bądź nie od kulturowych czynników - charakter myślenia ludzkiego, ujawniający się w odniesieniu do koncepcji stylu.
