Online discussions are rife with fear-evoking images and meaning making that highlight a perceived threat to the security of European nations and their inhabitants posed by migrants’ violence in the wake of increased immigration. The design of an agent based model of human activities and communications in cardiac resuscitation

International audience; Cardio-pulmonary arrest is a common emergency situation causing over 400,000 deaths per year, more than a 1000 per day, in the USA alone. The goal of this work is to develop an agent based computer simulator that will allow trainers to experiment with different communication protocols, such as those found in air traffic control. This paper describes the first step in designing the simulator development. The design is based on an analysis of communications during real life training simulations using the FIPA standard categories.

Different personality traits respond differently to unfavourable life situations. Unemployment can have several negative social, economic, and domestic consequences. Many people use social media for a variety of reasons. The aim of this study is to examine the way different personality traits respond to Facebook in the period of unemployment. Data was obtained from 3,002 unemployed respondents in Nigeria. The study used regression model to analyse the data. Symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic key exchange protocols in the octonion algebra

AbstractWe propose three cryptographic key exchange protocols in the octonion algebra. Using the totient function, defined for integral octonions, we generalize the RSA public-key cryptosystem to the octonion arithmetics. The two proposed symmetric cryptographic key exchange protocols are based on the automorphism and the derivation of the octonion algebra.
Paths Coloring Algorithms in Mesh Networks

In this paper, we will consider the problem of coloring directed paths on a mesh network. A natural application of this graph problem is WDM-routing in all-optical networks. Our main result is a simple 4-approximation algorithm for coloring line-column paths on a mesh. We also present sharper results when there is a restriction on the path lengths. Moreover, we show that these results can be extended to toroidal meshes and to line-column or column-line paths.
