Kuntoutuksen ja kasvatuksen yhteistoiminnan on pitkään kuvattu olevan murrosvaiheessa, jossa yksilöasiantuntijuuteen perustuvista toimintamalleista pyritään kohti yhteistoimintaa ja lapsen arjessa tapahtuvaa kuntoutusta.
