Masteroppgave i offentlig politikk og ledelse- Universitetet i Agder 2009 Knutepunkt Sørlandet er et interkommunalt samarbeidsorgan bestående av syv omkringliggende kommuner. Disse er også de formelle eierne av knutepunktet. I 2008 ble representantskapet etablert. For øvrig det øverste politiske organ i knutepunktet. Her sitter 43 representanter fordelt mellom samtlige kommuner. Samtidig som representantskapet ikke er et beslutningsorgan, er de avhengige av de enkelte kommunestyrer for å få gjennomslag for sin politikk. Ved å følge lokalvalgkampen gjennom riksdekkende medier kan man like gjerne sitte igjen med inntrykk av at det er et stortingsvalg som står for tur! Denne oppgaven bygger på argumentet om en riksdominert lokalvalgkamp. Eiropas Savienība ir daudzveidīga dalībvalstu grupa, un dzimumu līdztiesības attīstība kopš 1950. gada vēl nav pastāvīga un lineāra, kas savukārt ietekmē arī Eiropas Parlamenta dzimumu līdzsvaru. Pētījumā ir novērtēts sieviešu īpatsvars parlamentos, pamatojoties uz publiski pieejamiem datiem, ko apkopojuši galvenokārt Eurostat, Pasaules ekonomikas forums, Eiropas Dzimumu līdztiesības institūts un Starptautiskais demokrātijas un vēlēšanu palīdzības institūts. Pētījumā tika konstatēts, ka neatkarīgi no izmantotā dzimuma kvotu veida un īstenošanas perioda, dzimumu līdzsvara politikā bija dažādi rezultāti, tāpēc katrai valstij bija nepieciešama pielāgota pieeja.

Participation in the public debate constitutes one of the most evident avenues for political scientists to demonstrate the social relevance of the discipline.
