Drawing on the contributions of some of the most recent and relevant studies on neuroethics and moral neuroeducation, this paper undertakes an analysis of compassion. In order to focus on the results of this neuroscientific research a reductionist naturalist framework is set aside in order to embrace the broader outlook of a moral neuroeducation that, firstly, refuses to reduce its normative character to the human capacity for evolutionary adaptation; and, secondly, seeks to locate within the brain the neuronal foundations for the development of a capacity for compassion towards those of one’s own community, and also those from outside it. Pro Gradu -työssäni tutkin tarinan ja henkilöhahmon muodostumista PC -pelissä, erityisesti sitä, miten tarina ja henkilöhahmo siirtyvät toisesta julkaisumuodosta, romaanistaja elokuvasta, pelin muotoon. Käsittelen myös tarinan eroja representaatiossa ja simulaatiossa, tässä tapauksessa pelissä. Shifts in the visual coverage of refugees arriving in Europe and prominent compassion fatigue emphasize the need to examine visual strategies utilized to report on the crisis. This study focuses on representations of refugee children using a case of the World Press Photo (WPP) 2016. The material was interpreted with a model for visual rhetorical interpretation of journalistic photographs. Findings indicate the main visual elements involved in representing refugee children: visual trope of the migrant father, relation between children and barriers, visual oxymoron (juxtaposition of contradictory elements) and atmosphere in photographs. Saistība starp pašcieņu, līdzjūtību pret sevi un psiholoģisko labklājību

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kāda saistība pastāv starp pašcieņu, līdzjūtību pret sevi un psiholoģisko labklājību. Pētījumā piedalījās 65 dalībnieki vecumā no 18 līdz 26 gadiem, no tiem 50 sievietes un 15 vīrieši. Tika izmantotas šādas skalas: Rozenberga pašcieņas aptauja (Rosenberg, 1965), Iejūtības pret sevi skala (Neff, 2003), Psiholoģiskās labklājības skala (Riff, 1989). Lai noskaidrotu pētāmo konstruktu saistību, tika izmantots Spīrmena korelācijas koeficients. Iegūtie rezultāti paradīja, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīga korelācija starp pašcieņu un psiholoģisko labklājību, pašcieņu un līdzjūtību pret sevi, kā arī starp līdzjūtību pret sevi un psiholoģisko labklājību.
