Competence Utilization for Innovation Capabilities - A Question of Trust?

The purpose of this paper is to show how trust as an organizational value contributes to employee competence utilization in the case of innovation capability. Thus, it is the objective of this paper to analyze the positive impacts, but also potential limits of trust in business management. The research paper uses two different quantitative empirical studies drawn from German and Austrian mid-sized companies to empirically test this interrelation. Abstract: Akan is one of the many languages which uses lexical verbs and verbal constructions to express evidentiality. In this paper, we discuss four verbs used as both evidential and non-evidential forms. Further, we discuss focusing strategies and the use of emphatic particles (EMPH) to support focused constituents. Our aim is to determine whether emphatic particles have any influence on evidential constructions containing them. Also available from the publisher at: http://www.idunn.no/ts/tnb/2011/03/art06 The article presents results from a qualitative study of parents benefits in participation in course given to parents whose children are placed in foster care. The participants describe changes that had occurred in their life situations, and aspects of the course evaluated as useful. Essential findings indicate that the participants have increased self-confidence and regard their children in a new way. Foucault’s concepts of Power are applied in the analysis.
