In recent decades, an essential global aim of the reforms of special education has been the promotion of inclusive education. This article discusses the implementation of reforms with a focus on tiered support systems in the context of Finnish comprehensive school education. This paper discusses authenticity from the perspective of mathematics education. Often, school mathematics offers students inauthentic word problems, which don’t show the authentic usefulness of mathematics in real life. In some tasks, authentic aspects are combined with inauthentic ones (e.g., an authentic context, but the question is artificial and different from what people within that context would ask). The COVID-19 situation has encouraged the creation of ICT-based learning environments. Difficulties in performing activities in a garden setting can be overcome by using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Blending canal surfaces along given circles using Dupin cyclides

We study blends between canal surfaces using Dupin cyclides via the space of spheres. We have already studied the particular case where it is possible to blend two canal surfaces using one piece of Dupin cyclide bounded by two characteristic circles, but this is not possible in the general case. That is why we solve this problem using two pieces of different cyclides, which is always possible. Iterative construction of Dupin cyclides characteristic circles using non-stationary Iterated Function Systems (IFS)

Each family of spheres can be seen as a conic in the space of spheres. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to compute a characteristic circle of a Dupin cyclide from a point and the tangent at this point in the space of spheres. Round-handle decomposition ofS2×S1

2007

A round-handle decomposition is associated with a non-singular Morse–Smale flow on 3-manifolds prime to S 2× S 1. This decomposition has been built only for the 3-sphere S 3. In this paper we obtain the round-handle decomposition of non-singular Morse–Smale flows on S 2× S 1, in order to get all the different fattened round handles in this manifold. Some of them include non-separating boundary components that induce the topology of the links of periodic orbits.
