A Precise Measurement of the $\tau$ Polarisation at LEP-1
2000
The $\tau$ polarisation has been studied with the ${\rm e^+e^-}\to \tau^+\tau^-$ data collected by the DELPHI detector at LEP in 1993, 1994 and 1995 around the Z resonance firstly through the exclusive decay channels ${\rm e}\nu\bar{\nu}$ , $\mu\nu\bar{\nu}$ , $\pi\nu$ , $\rho\nu$ and ${\rm a}_1\nu$ and secondly with an inclusive hadronic analysis which benefits from a higher efficiency and a better systematic precision. The results have been combined with those previously published on 1990 to 1992 DELPHI data, to produce results which reflect the full LEP-1 statistics. The fit of the $\tau$ polarisation dependence on the production angle yielded the polarisation parameters ${\cal A}_{_{\sc…
Global effective-field-theory analysis of new-physics effects in (semi)leptonic kaon decays
2016
We analyze the decays $K\to\pi\ell\nu$ and $P\to\ell\nu$ ($P=K,\pi$, $\ell=e,\,\mu$) using a low-energy Effective-Field-Theory approach to parametrize New Physics and study the complementarity with baryon $\beta$ decays. We then provide a road map for a global analysis of the experimental data, with all the Wilson coefficients simultaneously, and perform a fit leading to numerical bounds for them and for $V_{us}$. A prominent result of our analysis is a reinterpretation of the well-known $V_{ud}-V_{us}$ diagram as a strong constraint on new physics. Finally, we reinterpret our bounds in terms of the $SU(2)_L\times~U(1)_Y$-invariant operators, provide bounds to the corresponding Wilson coeff…
On the gluon spectrum in the glasma
2010
We study the gluon distribution in nucleus-nucleus collisions in the framework of the Color-Glass-Condensate. Approximate analytical solutions are compared to numerical solutions of the non-linear Yang-Mills equations. We find that the full numerical solution can be well approximated by taking the full initial condition of the fields in Coulomb gauge and using a linearized solution for the time evolution. We also compare kt-factorized approximations to the full solution.
Systems of Linear Equations

A linear equation in \(\mathbb {R}\) in the variables \(x_1,x_2,\ldots ,x_n\) is an equation of the kind:
Relativistic holonomic fluids
1989
The notion of holonomic fluid in relativity is reconsidered. An intrinsic characterization of holonomic fluids, involving only the unit velocity, is given, showing that in spite of its dynamical appearance the notion of holonomic fluid is a kinematical notion. The relations between holonomic and thermodynamic perfect fluids are studied.
On a generalisation of Krein's example
2017
We generalise a classical example given by Krein in 1953. We compute the difference of the resolvents and the difference of the spectral projections explicitly. We further give a full description of the unitary invariants, i.e., of the spectrum and the multiplicity. Moreover, we observe a link between the difference of the spectral projections and Hankel operators.
