Purpose: High dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy is a highly extended practice in clinical brachytherapy today. Quality dose rate distribution datasets of the HDR sources used in a clinical treatment are required. Because of the different source designs, a specific dosimetry dataset is required for each source model. In the recently published BRAPHYQS-ESTRO Report, an overview of available dosimetric data for all HDR Ir-192 sources is given, pointing out the lack of data for one of the sources, the used by the BEBIG MultiSource afterloading system (BEBIG GmbH, Germany). Abstract The study aims at evaluating, training and improving upper limb neuromuscular control in preschool gymnasts as well as at highlighting the benefits of using computerized resources (MOVE 1 DU portable appliance) in training this control type. The research method chosen for this project consists in conducting an experiment on a group of 10 subjects aged 6-7 years. The key purpose of this study is to offer a more accurate and realistic view on the potential use of computer resources in training the neuromuscular control of the upper limb.

PURPOSE To replicate associations between polymorphisms in the WRB and TSPAN10 genes and strabismus in an independent Finnish cohort and to calculate their population attributable risk. METHODS Polymorphisms in the WRB (rs2244352) and TSPAN10 (rs6420484) genes were investigated in individuals from the FinnGen study group who had one of three categories of strabismus, with clinical diagnoses of (1) "strabismus-all subtypes" (3,515 cases and 173,384 controls), (2) "convergent concomitant strabismus" (ICD-10 code H50.0; 737 cases and 170,976 controls), and (3) "divergent concomitant strabismus" (ICD-10 code H50.1; 1,059 cases and 170,976 controls). Experience of medical students mentoring in an acute geriatric unit: Use of evidence-based medicine

International audience; n a retrospective study, we studied the learning experience of second and third year undergraduate medical students in the acute geriatric unit of a University Hospital.Students who did not receive Evidence based medicine (EBM) classes had lower grades than those who did in the final theoretical and practical evaluations (p < .01).Our experience suggested that the implementation of EBM in the curriculum through small, structured semiology courses tailored to the specificities of the elderly improved Evidence based practices for undergraduate medical students. EBM should improve instruction and mentoring during undergraduate students' clinical rotation.
