Viedtālruņu pastāvīgā klātbūtne pamatskolas skolēnu dzīvē un mobilo mācību līdzekļu strauja attīstība ir pamats idejai par to apvienošanu, lai iepazīstinātu skolēnus ar jauniem motivējošiem vārdu krājuma apguves veidiem. Atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums tika veikts Teteles pamatskolā. Kā datu iegūšanas metodes tika izmantotas skolotāju aptaujas, intervijas ar angļu valodas skolotājiem, 57 skolēnu aptaujas (vecumā no 10 līdz 14 gadiem) pirms pētījuma, mobilo līdzekļu praktiskā izmantošana, un pamatskolas vecuma skolēnu aptaujas pēc pētījuma. Abstract: Information-theory procedures are powerful tools for multimodel inference and are now standard methods in ecology. When performing model averaging on a given set of models, the importance of a predictor variable is commonly estimated by summing the weights of models where the variable appears, the so-called sum of weights (SW). CNO and pep solar neutrino measurements and perspectives in Borexino

International audience; The detection of neutrinos emitted in the CNO reactions in the Sun is one of the ambitious goals of Borexino Phase-II. A measurement of CNO neutrinos would be a milestone in astrophysics, and would allow to solve serious issues in current solar models. A precise measurement of the rate of neutrinos from the pep reaction would allow to investigate neutrino oscillations in the MSW transition region. The pep and CNO solar neutrino physics, the measurement in Borexino Phase-I and the perspectives for the new phase are reviewed in this proceeding.
Measurement of Solar pp-neutrino flux with Borexino: results and implications

International audience; Measurement of the Solar pp-neutrino flux completed the measurement of Solar neutrino fluxes from the pp-chain of reactions in Borexino experiment. The result is in agreement with the prediction of the Standard Solar Model and the MSW/LMA oscillation scenario. A comparison of the total neutrino flux from the Sun with Solar luminosity in photons provides a test of the stability of the Sun on the 10(5) years time scale, and sets a strong limit on the power production by the unknown energy sources in the Sun.

Non-Linear Inductor Models Comparison for Switched-Mode Power Supplies Applications

The use of non-linear power inductors, intended as devices exploited up to a current at which the inductance is halved, is of great interest in switched-mode power supplies (SMPSs). Indeed, it allows the use of lighter and cheaper inductors improving the power density. On the other hand, the analysis of SMPSs equipped with non-linear inductors requires appropriate modeling of the inductor reproducing the inductance versus current. Legacy system evolution - A comparative study of modernisation and replacement initiation factors

Decisions regarding information system evolution strategy become topical as the organisation’s information systems age and start to approach the end of their life cycle. An interview study was conducted in order to compare factors influencing modernisation and replacement initiation. System age, obsolete technology and high operation or maintenance costs were identified as triggers for both modernisation and replacement projects. The results show that the most prevalent individual reason for modernisation initiative is business development.
