Cómo y qué enseñar de la biodiversidad en la alfabetización científica

The purpose of this article is to approach the didactic treatment of biodiversity conservation issues from the double perspective of scientific literacy and environmental education. We attempt to provide ideas on how articulating their respective theoretical speeches with practice in biological education; understanding the need to fit principles and goals that characterize them, with the processes of teaching and learning concepts, values, processes and techniques; significantly necessary to develop of citizenship, critical interpretation and based decision-making capacities, related to the political proposals and measures on biodiversity conservation.

An Analysis of the Flow-Based Fast Handover Method For Mobile IPv6 Network

Mobile IPv6 has been proposed by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) to be the solution to mobility management in IPv6 network. The work is now culminating to a standard status. But, one problem still remaining is the length of the handover time, which might cause packet loss. Thus the handover time should be as short as possible. Especially the real-time traffic suffers from packet loss. We propose a method that automatically describes teacher talk. The method allows us to describe and compare classroom lessons, as well as visualizing changes in teacher discourse throughout the course of a lesson. The proposed method uses a machine learning model to infer topics from school textbooks. Certain topics are related to different contents (e.g. kinematics, solar system, electricity), while others are related to different teaching functions (e.g. explanations, questions, numerical exercises). Conceptual network of teachers' talk : Automatic analysis and quantitative measures

Educational field can take advantage of the improvements of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), since we can apply ASR algorithms in non-ideal conditions such as real classrooms. In the context of QuIP project, we used ASR systems to translate audio from teachers’ talk into text to study conceptual networks based on what the teacher says during his/her lecture, particularly the key concepts mentioned and their temporal co-occurrence. This article presents a theoretical framework for a holistic model of the development of early mathematical skills in early childhood education. The first aim of this study was to conduct a comprehensive international review of the literature to explore early mathematical skills categories. Selective writing and read-out of a register of static qubits

We propose a setup comprising an arbitrarily large array of static qubits (SQs), which interact with a flying qubit (FQ). The SQs work as a quantum register, which can be written or read-out by means of the FQ through quantum state transfer (QST). The entire system, including the FQ's motional degrees of freedom, behaves quantum mechanically. We demonstrate a strategy allowing for selective QST between the FQ and a single SQ chosen from the register. This is achieved through a perfect mirror located beyond the SQs and suitable modulation of the inter-SQ distances.

Experimental Engineering of Arbitrary Qudit States with Discrete-Time Quantum Walks

The capability to generate and manipulate quantum states in high-dimensional Hilbert spaces is a crucial step for the development of quantum technologies, from quantum communication to quantum computation. One-dimensional quantum walk dynamics represents a valid tool in the task of engineering arbitrary quantum states. Here we affirm such potential in a linear-optics platform that realizes discrete-time quantum walks in the orbital angular momentum degree of freedom of photons.
