One of the sets of hypotheses that has best maintained its heuristic capacity is the Marxist theory of needs. The Marxist hypotheses have been developed in debate with other conventional conceptions. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tutkia opettajien ja opettajaopiskelijoiden näkemyksiä kulttuurisesta moninaisuudesta. Näkemysten perustan selvittämiseksi tutkittiin tapoja, joilla osallistujat kuvaavat ilmiötä sekä kartoitettiin osallistujien käsitykseen vaikuttaneita kokemuksia. Tutkimus on lähestymistavaltaan fenomenografinen. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin sähköisellä kyselylomakkeella mahdollisimman suuren osallistujamäärän takaamiseksi. Lopullinen osallistujajoukko koostui 14 opettajasta ja 15 opiskelijasta. Aineisto analysoitiin sisällönanalyysin keinoin luokittelemalla vastausten sisällöt teemoittain. In this large-scale study, higher education teachers’ (n = 1028) descriptions of their own learning are examined with quantitative analyses. The study follows up an earlier qualitative study that, using a phenomenographic approach, identified four different ways in which teachers at Finnish universities of applied sciences described their own learning. The purpose of the present study was to find out how teachers’ descriptions were divided into the categories formed in the previous study and to examine whether teachers’ descriptions of their learning differ according to their position, gender and age. Oppikirjojen kieli- ja oppimiskäsitykset vaikuttavat siihen, miten opitaan ja nämä käsitykset voivat myös siirtyä oppijoille. Oppikirjatutkimus on kohdistunut erityisesti Suomessa peruskoulun ja lukion oppikirjoihin jättäen aikuisten kielten oppikirjat vähemmälle huomiolle. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan ilmastonmuutoksen turvallisuuspoliittisia merkityksiä Suomessa poliittisen kielenkäytön analyysimenetelmin. To explore the conceptions of patients with persistent low back pain (LBP) of undergoing physiotherapy delivered in Finnish primary healthcare by physiotherapists who had participated in brief training in Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT). As part of a feasibility implementation study exploring CFT in management of LBP in the Finnish primary healthcare system, we interviewed nine patients from four geographical areas in Finland after receiving care.
