Common fixed points in cone metric spaces for $MK$-pairs and $L$-pairs

2011

In this paper we introduce some contractive conditions of Meir-Keeler type for a pair of mappings, called $MK$-$pair$ and $L\textrm{-}pair$, in the framework of cone metric spaces and we prove theorems which assure existence and uniqueness of common fixed points for $MK$-$pairs$ and $L \textrm{-}pairs$. As an application we obtain a result of common fixed point of a $p$-$MK$-pair, a mapping and a multifunction, in complete cone metric spaces. These results extend and generalize well-known comparable results in the literature.

Artykuł stanowi przegląd literatury dotyczącej syntezy i charakterystyki materiałów hybrydowych uzyskanych na drodze kopolimeryzacji alkenylopodstawionych silseskwioksanów z olefinami. Przedstawiono przykłady wykorzystania m.in. procesów kopolimeryzacji koordynacyjnej do syntezy kopolimerów olefin i silseskwioksanów (POSS). Jednocześnie wskazano korzyści płynące z obecności POSS w strukturze polimeru, które przekładają się na jego zwiększoną odporność termiczną oraz parametry mechaniczne.

Deformation of bubbles in silicon gel insulation under an alternating electric field

2019

The behavior of silicone gel under electrical stress plays a significant role in the reliability and durability of high voltage electronic power devices due to its widespread use for the insulation of IGBT modules and other components. The charges accumulation at the bubble boundaries leads to significant displacements due to the establishment of Coulombic forces and the high deformability of colloidal system. The main purpose of this work is to validate a numerical approach useful to investigate, for a given silicone gel, the non-linear relation between the applied HVDC stress and the electric field over an air bubble within the insulation bulk. The analysis has been carried out by means o…

Submarine morphology of the Comoros volcanic archipelago

2021

co-auteur étranger; International audience; A detailed morpho-bathymetric study of the Comoros archipelago, based on mostly unpublished bathymetric data, provides a first glimpse into the submarine section of these islands. It offers a complete view of the distribution of volcanic structures around the archipelago, allowing to discuss the origin and evolution of this volcanism. Numerous volcanic cones and erosional-depositional features have been recognized throughout the archipelago. The magmatic supply is focused below one or several volcanoes for each island, but is also controlled by lithospheric fractures evidenced by volcanic ridges, oriented along the supposed Lwandle-Somali plate bo…

The Early-Cambrian Boho volcano of the El Graara massif, Morocco: Petrology, geodynamic setting and coeval sedimentation

2006

15 pages; International audience; A major volcanic episode is recorded across the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian transition in the Moroccan Anti-Atlas. Several volcanic cones are still preserved in the El Graara massif, laterally correlatable with volcanic flows dated as Early Cambrian (U/Pb date of 534 ± 10 Ma). Volcanic ashes and flows are interbedded with the uppermost part of the Adoudou dolostones, whereas the best-preserved volcano (the Boho Jbel) is onlapped by the overlying Lie-de-vin strata. Available petro-geochemical data from the Boho volcano suggest an alkaline magmatism probably derived from low-grade melting of a garnet–lherzolite mantle source, followed by fractional crystallizatio…

Systematic revision of the Late Miocene sabre-toothed felid Paramachaerodus in Spain

2010

Abstract:  A systematic revision of the sabre-toothed cat genus Paramachaerodus Pilgrim, 1913 is presented. Two species are recognized within Paramachaerodus, Pa. orientalis, and Pa. maximiliani, and the genus Promegantereon Kretzoi, 1938 is retrieved to include Promegantereon ogygia. Material from the Turolian Spanish localities of Crevillente-2 (MN 11, Alicante) and Las Casiones (MN 13, Teruel), which was previously assigned to Paramachaerodus, is now included in the tribe Metailurini. The exceptional discoveries at the Spanish Vallesian (MN 10, Madrid) fossil site of Batallones-1 have made it possible to characterize the dentition and cranial anatomy of a previously very poorly known mac…

’Structural constraints in cyanobacteria-mediated whole-cell biotransformation of methoxylated and methylated derivatives of 2′-hydroxychalcone

2019

Halophilic and freshwater strains of cyanobacteria representing the Oscillatoriales, Nostocales, Chroococcales, and Synechococcales orders of Cyanophyta were examined to determine (i) the resistance of their cultures when suppressed by the presence of exogenous methoxylated and methylated derivatives of 2'-hydroxychalcone, (ii) morphological changes in cells treated with the tested chalcones and, most importantly, (iii) whether these photoautotrophic microorganisms transform chalcone derivatives in a structure- or strain-dependent manner. The growth of cyanobacterial cultures depended on chalcone derivatives and the strain; nevertheless, trends for correlations between these parameters are …

Acceptor Specificity of Amylosucrase from Deinococcus radiopugnans and Its Application for Synthesis of Rutin Derivatives

2016

The transglycosylation activity of amylosucrase (ASase) has received significant attention owing to its use of an inexpensive donor, sucrose, and broad acceptor specificity, including glycone and aglycone compounds. The transglycosylation reaction of recombinant ASase from Deinococcus radiopugnans (DRpAS) was investigated using various phenolic compounds, and quercetin-3-O-rutinoside (rutin) was found to be the most suitable acceptor molecule used by DRpAS. Two amino acid residues in DRpAS variants (DRpAS Q299K and DRpAS Q299R), assumed to be involved in acceptor binding, were constructed by site-directed mutagenesis. Intriguingly, DRpAS Q299K and DRpAS Q299R produced 10-fold and 4-fold hig…

Stimulation of Defense Reactions in Medicago truncatula by Antagonistic Lipopeptides from Paenibacillus sp. Strain B2

2010

ABSTRACT With the aim of obtaining new strategies to control plant diseases, we investigated the ability of antagonistic lipopolypeptides (paenimyxin) from Paenibacillus sp. strain B2 to elicit hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) production and several defense-related genes in the model legume Medicago truncatula . For this purpose, M. truncatula cell suspensions were used and a pathosystem between M. truncatula and Fusarium acuminatum was established. In M. truncatula cell cultures, the induction of H 2 O 2 reached a maximum 20 min after elicitation with paenimyxin, whereas concentrations higher than 20 μM inhibited H 2 O 2 induction and this was correlated with a lethal effect. In plant roots in…

Chromatographic separation and partial identification of glycosidically bound volatile components of fruit

1990

Abstract Synthetic monoterpenic and aromatic β- d -glucosides and β- d -rutinosides were separated by Fractogel TSK HW-40 S chromatography according to their molecular size and interactions occurring between the aglycone moiety and the gel matrix. Under these conditions terpenyl rutinosides were eluted before the homologous glucoside derivatives. In the two classes, monoglucosides and rutinosides, aromatic glycosidically bound components had lower retention times than the corresponding terpenyl components. The use of over-pressure layer chromatography (OPLC) allowed the separation of glucoside and rutinoside derivatives, and in these two classes aromatic and several monoterpene compounds we…
