This paper describes some motivations and outlines some limits regarding the possibility and necessity of interreligious, interconfessional, and interideological dialogue, in an attempt to improve our understanding of Orthodox Christianity’s role in these important aspects of domestic and foreign politics. This study aims to resolve the divergent opinions that exist in the Orthodox Church regarding the possibility of remaining in this kind of dialogue. In the twentieth century, in the understanding and practice of the penance sac rament and reconciliation in the Catholic Church, it was reminded clearly that apart from the judgement dimension, it also has an important healing aspect. La sentenza rotale in esame costituisce una delle prime e, al contempo, più recenti interpretazioni applicative del nuovo testo del can. 1678 § 1 in materia ci "prova piena” da attribuire alle dichiarazioni rese dalle parti. La sentenza si è trovata a dovere risolvere un problema assai frequente nella prassi forense, specie nelle cause in cui vi sia una forte contrapposizione tra le parti: quello di stabilire quale di esse debba essere considerata più credibile.
Limits of Power. Clerical Appointment as Part of Domestic Policy in Sweden after the Reformation, 1560–1611

Abstract This article examines state-church relations in Sweden by analysing clerical appointment processes in the latter part of the 16th century. The aim is to ascertain whether the king of Sweden could appoint pastors independently, and if not, with whom he was compelled to share the power. Earlier studies argue that the power of the king grew due to the reformation. First, this article examines the number of clerical appointments that were made in the period 1560-1611.
