Cultural intelligence, global mindset, and cross-cultural competencies: a systematic review using bibliometric methods

We conducted a systematic review of 158 publications on Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and related concepts, Global Mindset (GM), and Crosscultural Competence (CC) using bibliometric methods. We apply citation analysis to highlight the most influential (in terms of citations) journals, publications, and specific researchers in the field. We apply factor and cluster analyses to analyse co-citations to identify the current knowledge structure in the research field. With content coding on the resulting groups of co-citations, we identify five research streams showing the overlap between the CQ, GM, and CC constructs, and also revealing the separations in the research on the constructs. Digital Learning Interventions in Higher Education: A Scoping Review.

Abstract This scoping review was undertaken to synthesize and describe research related to digital learning interventions in higher education, focusing on technological outcomes. Five electronic databases were searched, and 86 articles were included in the review. The data related to positive and negative technological outcomes and authors’ suggestions were analyzed using inductive content analysis. The articles represented six disciplines across six continents and included quantitative (n = 65), qualitative (n = 3), and mixed-methods (n = 18) intervention studies. Harmonization and differences in CSR reporting of US and German companies

Purpose– The purpose of this paper is to extend the theoretical discussion and empirical evidence on harmonization as well as differences in CSR reporting, and to dismantle inconsistencies owing to the idiosyncratic methods applied in previous studies. What you see is what you get? Measuring companies' projected employer image attributes via companies' employment webpages

Information on a company's employment webpage sends signals about the employer image the company intends to project to applicants. Nonetheless, we know little about the content of recruitment signals sent via company employment webpages. This study develops a method to measure companies’ projected employer image attributes based on their employment webpages. Specifically, we analyze companies’ projected employer image attributes by applying computer‐aided text analysis (CATA) to the employment webpages of 461 Fortune 500 companies (i.e., more than 11,100 individual pages). Next-of-kins’ experiences when using volunteers for palliative patients living at home The aim of this study was to illuminate next-of-kins’ experiences when using volunteers supplementing community health care services for palliative patients living at home. The study has a qualitative approach. Nine individual interviews were conducted with next of kin from a municipality in Southern Norway. Use of volunteers for palliative care in the home was a relief for next-of-kin, especially prominent for families who had limited social network. Planned volunteering resulted in the best results. The Polarizing Impact of News Coverage on Populist Attitudes in the Public: Evidence From a Panel Study in Four European Democracies

This study explores how news messages carrying parts of the populist ideology contribute to a polarization of public opinion about populism. It combines a content analysis of news coverage on two policy areas (N = 7,119 stories) with a two-wave panel survey (N = 2,338) in four European metropolitan regions (Berlin, Paris, London, and Zurich). In three regions, unopposed media messages with a populist stance have a conditional effect on populist attitudes that depends on prior convictions.
