On a Planar Dynamical System Arising in the Network Control Theory

Hybrid Position/Force Control for Hydraulic Actuators

In this paper a novel hybrid position/force control with autonomous switching between both control modes is introduced for hydraulic actuators. A hybrid position/force control structure with feed-forwarding, full-state feedback, including integral control error, pre-compensator of the deadzone, and low-pass filtering of the control value is designed. Controller gains are obtained via local linearization and pole placement accomplished separately for the position and force control. Statistical characterization of deviations from planned flight trajectories in air traffic management

Understanding the relation between planned and realized flight trajectories and the determinants of flight deviations is of great importance in air traffic management. In this paper we perform an in depth investigation of the statistical properties of planned and realized air traffic on the German airspace during a 28 day periods, corresponding to an AIRAC cycle. We find that realized trajectories are on average shorter than planned ones and this effect is stronger during night-time than daytime. Analysis of damping in semi-active and active suspension systems is prerequisite for an advanced control and, eventually, energy harvesting functions. This paper addresses the damping in suspension system augmented by the piezoelectric (PE) stack. The Hamiltonian system approach with port-power modeling of single subsystems is used for describing and studying the dissipative properties of piezoelectric stack element, integrated in series with a standard quarter-car suspension. New Approach of Controlling Cardiac Alternans

The alternans of the cardiac action potential duration is a pathological rhythm. It is considered to be relating to the onset of ventricular fibrillation and sudden cardiac death. It is well known that, the predictive control is among the control methods that use the chaos to stabilize the unstable fixed point. Firstly, we show that alternans (or period-2 orbit) can be suppressed temporally by the predictive control of the periodic state of the system. Hybrid State Feedback Position-Force Control of Hydraulic Cylinder

A hybrid position-force control is proposed using a unified state feedback controller in combination with feedforward dead-zone compensation. Dead-zone compensator was constructed as inverse of the identified static map while the state feedback gains were obtained using a numerical optimization routine. An accurate state-space model affine in states and control, derived in a previous work, was used for closed-loop simulations and control tuning. This study focuses on both vehicle kinematic parameters (speed and acceleration) and behavior parameters (critical interval and follow-up time) of drivers at turbo-roundabouts. Empirical evaluations of such parameters can be helpful in calibrating traffic microsimulation models or assigning behavior parameters to closed-form capacity models in turbo-roundabouts (gap-acceptance capacity models) and are also related to evaluation of vehicles pollutant emissions. This article focuses on power swing in view of the amount of penetration of renewable energy resources especially the wind farms. There are two sections. Inverse Kinematics for a 7 DOF Robotic Arm Using the Redundancy Circle and ANFIS Models

In this paper we have presented a method to solve the inverse kinematics problem of a redundant robotic arm with seven degrees of freedom and a human like workspace based on mathematical equations, ANFIS implementation and Simulink models. For better visualization of the kinematics simulation a CAD model that mimics the real robotic arm was created into SolidWorks® and then the CAD parts were converted into SimMechanics model.
