Linear parameter estimation and predictive constrained control of wiener/hammerstein systems
2003
Abstract A new, analytical, orthonormal basis functions (OBF)-based design methodology for adaptive predictive constrained control of open-loop stable, possibly nonminimum phase, time-varying Wiener and Hammerstein systems is presented. A linear adaptive least-squares parameter estimation algorithm is applied both to a nonlinear static part and a linear dynamic, OBF-modeled factor of the Wiener/Hammerstein system. A notion of inverse systems is crucial for linear estimation of both Wiener and Hammerstein systems, with in verses of the nonlinear or linear parts respectively involved. The adaptive estimator is coupled with a simple but robust, predictive control strategy called Extended Horiz…
Robust finite-time fuzzy H∞ control for uncertain time-delay systems with stochastic jumps
2014
Abstract This paper investigates the problem of robust finite-time H ∞ control for a class of uncertain discrete-time Markovian jump nonlinear systems with time-delays represented by Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) model. Initially, the concepts of stochastic finite-time boundedness and stochastic finite-time H ∞ stabilization are presented. Then, by using stochastic Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach, sufficient conditions are derived such that the resulting close-loop system is stochastically finite-time bounded and satisfies a prescribed H ∞ disturbance attenuation level in a given finite-time interval. Furthermore, sufficient criteria on stochastic finite-time H ∞ stabilization using a fuzzy s…
Oscillation of second-order nonlinear differential equations with damping
2014
Abstract We study oscillatory properties of solutions to a class of nonlinear second-order differential equations with a nonlinear damping. New oscillation criteria extend those reported in [ROGOVCHENKO, Yu. V.—TUNCAY, F.: Oscillation criteria for second-order nonlinear differential equations with damping, Nonlinear Anal. 69 (2008), 208–221] and improve a number of related results.
Necessary and sufficient conditions for frequency entrainment of quasi-sinusoidal injection-synchonised oscillators
1986
A method is presented which permits the first-approximation exact analysis of the dynamical stability of fundamental-mode injectionsynchronized oscillators (FISO's) characterized by a quasi-sinusoidal quasi-static behavior. By combining small parameter and stroboscopic transformation techniques, the phase-lock stability investigation of an nth-order system is reduced to the simple Hurwitz test on an nth degree polynomial easily obtainable from steady state describing quantities. On this basis, equations for critical locking are also derived, which demonstrate the existence of a pair of limit curves (Locus and Boundary) already conjectured and looked for in the past, but only with partial su…
Identification of Nonlinear Systems Described by Hammerstein Models
2004
This paper deals with a method for identification of nonlinear systems suitable to be described by Hammerstein models consisting of a static nonlinearity followed by an ARX linear model. The estimation of the static nonlinearity is carried out supplying the system with a sequence of step signals of various amplitude and determining the corresponding steady-state responses. The estimation of the parameters of the ARX linear system is carried out by means of a least square estimator using data generated supplying the system with a Pseudorandom Binary Sequence (PRBS). The method in question is able to identify static nonlinearities of general type, also with hysteresis and/or discontinuities. …
H<inf>∞</inf> control of markovian switching systems with time-delays: Applied to DC-DC converters
2011
The DC-DC switching power converters are highly nonlinear systems. Consequently, the conventional linear controls based on averaging and linearization techniques will result in poor dynamic performance or system instability. In order to resolve this problem, in this paper a robust state feedback H∞ control is proposed for these systems under Markovian switching with mixed discrete, neutral and distributed delays. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional theory, some required sufficient conditions are established in terms of delay-dependent linear matrix inequalities for the stochastic stability and stabilization of the considered system using some free matrices. The desired control is de…
Observer-based finite-time control for discrete fuzzy jump nonlinear systems with time delays
2013
This paper investigates the problem of observer-based finite-time H∞ control for a family of discrete jump nonlinear systems with time delays represented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model. The main contribution of this paper is to design an observer-based finite-time H∞ controller such that the resulting closed-loop system is stochastic finite-time bounded and satisfies a prescribed H∞ disturbance attenuation level over the given finite-time interval. Sufficient criteria on stochastic finite-time H∞ stabilization via observer-based fuzzy state feedback are provided for the solvability of the problem, which can be tackled by a feasibility problem in terms of linear matrix inequalities. A simulati…
Finite-time stabilization for discrete fuzzy jump nonlinear systems with time delays
2013
This paper is concerned with the problem of finite-time H∞ control for a class of discrete-time Markovian jump nonlinear systems with time delays represented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model. First, by using fuzzy stochastic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, sufficient conditions are derived such that the resulting close-loop system is stochastic finite-time bounded and satisfies a prescribed H∞ disturbance attenuation level in a given finite-time interval. Second, sufficient criteria on stochastic finite-time H∞ stabilization via fuzzy state feedback are provided, and the fuzzy state feedback controller is designed by solving an optimization problem in terms of linear matrix inequalitie…
The relativistic spin-orbit current in deuteron photodisintegration below and above ?-threshold
1988
It is shown that the spin-orbit current which leads to an improved description ofd(γ,p)n below π-threshold is essentially a two-body exchange effect. This is demonstrated by separation of its one-body contribution. Furthermore, above π-threshold its inclusion leads to an improved agreement with experiment, in particular for the differential cross section in the Δ-excitation region.
Active controlled structural systems under delta-correlated random excitation: linear and nonlinear case
2006
Abstract Reduction of structural vibration in active controlled dynamical system is usually performed by means of convenient control forces dependent of the dynamic response. In this paper the existent studies will be extended to dynamical systems subjected to non-Gaussian random process accounting for the time delay involved in the application of active control actions. Control forces acting with time-delay effects will be expanded in Taylor series evaluating response statistics by means of the extended Ito differential rule to consider the effects of the non-normality of the input processes. Numerical application provided shows the feasibility of the proposed method to analyze stochastic …
