Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt saistību starp pielietoto stresa pārvarēšanas stratēģiju un apmierinātību ar dzīvi cilvēkiem, kuri piedzīvojuši vidēji smagu smadzeņu bojājumu, un cilvēkiem ar artrītu. Pētījumā piedalījās 131 dalībnieki vecumā no 17 līdz 84 gadiem. Dalībnieki tika iedalīti trīs respondentu grupās – 50 personas ar diagnosticētu artrītu (46 sievietes un 4 vīrieši), 31 personas, kurām dzīves laikā diagnosticēts vidēji smags galvas smadzeņu bojājums (17 sievietes un 14 vīrieši), un 50 personas, kurām nav bijis nekāda veida galvas smadzeņu bojājums un nav hroniskas saslimšanas (36 sievietes un 14 vīrieši). Elite athletes’ participation in sports is oftentimes associated with considerable physical and psychosocial stressors as it requires a continuous strive for success in a highly competitive environment. Coping has been identified as an extremely influential factor in an athlete’s life, affecting both the performance and satisfaction of the individual. Its effectiveness is determined by various potentials of the personality that provide the necessary resources when dealing with stressful situations. This article presents part of a master´s degree research, which focused on investigating causes, symptoms, and strategies used by tertiary flute players to cope with music performance anxiety in the performance of an unaccompanied flute work in recital of evaluative character. However, it will present only the results on strategies of twelve flute students from three music colleges in Brazil to cope with music performance anxiety.
