Abstract OBJECTIVES The goal was to develop a scoring system to predict the 30-day mortality rate for patients undergoing surgery for acute type A aortic dissection on the basis of the German Registry for Acute Type A Aortic Dissection (GERAADA) data set and to provide a Web-based application for standard use. METHODS A total of 2537 patients enrolled in GERAADA who underwent surgery between 2006 and 2015 were analysed. Variable selection was performed using the R-package FAMoS. A review of 507 off-pump coronary bypass patients: a single center experience.

This retrospective study evaluates perioperative results of 'Off-pump' coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB) experience in a single center. Five hundred and seven patients were operated (median sternotomy) from 1998 to 2002 using OPCAB. Patient data were registered and risk prediction calculated using the full logistic version of EuroSCORE. Overall, 1091 distal anastomoses were performed and only five (1%) patients required conversion to cardiopulmonary bypass. The predicted mortality was 3.8+/-4.5%, the observed mortality was 2.37%. AbstractIn this paper, we study some local spectral properties of operators having form JTJ, where J is a conjugation on a Hilbert space H and $$T\in L(H)$$ T ∈ L ( H ) . We also study the relationship between the quasi-nilpotent part of the adjoint $$T^*$$ T ∗ and the analytic core K(T) in the case of decomposable complex symmetric operators. In the last part we consider Weyl type theorems for triangular operator matrices for which one of the entries has form JTJ, or has form $$JT^*J$$ J T ∗ J . The accuracy of rotational parameters obtained from high-level quantum-chemical calculations is discussed for molecules containing second-row atoms. The main focus is on computed rotational constants for which two statistical analyses have been carried out. A first benchmark study concerns sulfur-bearing species and involves 15 molecules (for a total of 74 isotopologues).
