INTRODUCCIÓN: La asociación de corticoides inhalados (ICS) con agonistas beta2 de acción prolongada es una terapia de combinación bien documentada para la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC) basada en sus propiedades antiinflamatorias aditivas. Por el contrario, no existe evidencia científica en la recomendación de ICS en combinación con antagonistas muscarínicos de acción prolongada (LAMA). The spoken core of British English: a diachronic analysis based on the BNC

This research takes as its starting point a frequency analysis of the demographicspoken subcorpus of the British National Corpus in order to focus on two aspects of the evolution of spoken core vocabulary in British English. The first is the impact on the core of contact with other languages and, the second, the role of lexical innovation and/or replacement in the history of this core. Our analysis, which, to a certain extent, follows up on that carried out in Fuster (2007) questions the hypothesis that the spoken core is immune to foreign influence or that it is highly resistant to change. pennock@uv.es; fuster@uv.es

Heparanasa es una endo-β-D-glucosidasa capaz de degradar específicamente uno de los componentes de la matriz extracelular, el Heparán Sulfato. Publisher Summary This chapter investigates the behavior of hollow circular steel cross-sections filled with Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC), subjected to monotonic loads. The casting of different types of composite members—steel columns, steel columns filled with Normal Strength Concrete (NSC), and steel columns filled with Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC) was employed. The columns were tested in uniaxial compression utilizing a universal testing machine operating in displacement control. The maximum strength of composite members filled with FRC was 20% higher than that recorded for steel pipes filled with FRC. Rethinking practices of assessment for learning: Tablet technology supported assessment for learning mathematics

This article discusses assessment for learning in mathematics subjects. It is challenging for teachers of large classes to regularly assess students' mathematics in order to help them improve their learning achievement. Given the complexity of assessing and providing feedback for learning, a new approach to assessment for learning was suggested. Media tablet technology supported assessment processes were devised and user studies were conducted in Norway and Rwanda. There are indications that students like to be involved in assessing each other's mathematics work. Students expect to get learning gains by providing and obtaining feedback to/from their peers using technology supported tools.
